And guys, all I did was suggest that it did a little more damage (like 3-5 more hit points)...some of you act like a was suggesting making it fire tank shells.

the pistol in CQB in the right hands wins hands down.

its accuracy is barely affected by stance, and aim for the chest and the recoil just takes it up inot the head, getting expert pistol was a mammoth task for me but the pistols on this game are quite good and once you have the practice with them you can be a brilliant soldier using great combos like pistol and shotty.

Sars99, If I wanted the kind of feedback shown in red I would have asked for it. If you want to make attacks like that expect people to be a little mad at you.

Best way to get kills with the pistol is to shot people in the head with it, or snack up to someone and shot them in the head

The sights dont matter to me at all, most of the time i use it un-zoomed and it works great. Yea if going for a long shot they help but inside 50m its very accurate either way. Just have a steady hand and a fast finger.

I actually wouldn't recommend using the sight's in CQC - the crosshair is fine - using the sight's only impairs your movements, putting you at a disadvantage. For longer shots though, it is a must,

no i read your first post, a couple humorous flames and the thread title.

its a GOOD gun. its accurate. You fire fast enough and the guy is down in a couple seconds. 5 to the torso and 2 to the head.

My god, threads in this forum have gone way down in quality. Now people just make threads about anything.

the pistol is fine. it is ment to be a secondary weapon and if u hate that much take a break, play CS and pick up a desert eagle. i really dont know why ur fighting in close quarters as a sniper. rethink the way u use the kit. if u have to defend urself shoot them once with the primary rifle and twice more with the pistol granted ur using a bolt action. as a matter of fact it is quite easy to get kills if u strafe back and forth.

*tip, never engage anyone with a pistol with anything less than a full amgazine.

Only certain classes really need a more powerful handgun, like sniper/AT/engineer. They should get a .357 or .44 Desert Eagle instead of the big .50. Might give them a chance against the big guns if used properly.

I've beaten an AT guy with the P90 at point-blank range with my pistol (today the round i met the Expert sniper IAR requirement).

You can say that just about the same for all the other weapon.The game should be one shot one kill. or at least you have to limp if you get shot

Sounds like you might a big fan of Instagib in UT? This isn't UT and body armor should stop, or at elast reduce the effetiveness of a low powered weapon like a pistol or knife.

As sassback said, it is a backup weapon and should used as such.

Now I would agree that any headshot should be one shot, one kill with any weapon and the performance of any soldier should be reduced after being wounded, but that is not how the game was written and it isn't going to be changed.

Insta-gib Bf2... that makes me laugh. How about Dice makes it so that if your character dies in the game you have to wait until the next round until you respawn, if at all, cause dead is dead... right?
