Ok first off, I do not want the pistol to be a main battle weapon, all I was thinking of was it doing a little more damage. One other thing I can't help but laugh at is that Sars99 says "the pistol in CQB in the right hands wins hands down." Pistol at close range against a DAO-12...someone is going to get owned and it isn't the DAO-12 guy.

Ahhaha, well, I tell you what, I will still take a pistol up against a DAO. Example, if we are talking about the meat grinder in Karkand, then a DAO at one end and me on the other, my pistol is more accurate at a greater range then a DAO. If we are talking 5 Ft, well, I hope the can out manuvere the DAO, because I know it takes him a while to reload.

The pistol has saved me a couple times. In the palace on warlord I just killed 3 guys with my DA0-12. It was empty. There were 2 guys left so I pull out my 92FS hop over one and shoot him when he's prone then I finish off the guy who didn't fire because he was too afraid he'd hit his friend. Most close encounters with more then a few guys at once unless your support you'll have to pull your pistol and you'll get a few kills. I just got a better mouse with a left click bottom that's less stiff so I can empty a pistol clip pretty quickly. A pistol is meant to be a last resort anyway. You don't go head to head with SMGs or Assault Rifles unless your out of ammo.

The pistols are fine, I mow faces with the pistol.

oh and i love hitting one shot with the SR and then wipping out my pistol and finishing some1

In rare cases that you survive long enough that you have to resort to your pistol, or you are a sniper and you run into any other kit at close range..wouldn't it be better if the pistol was a more viable weapon than it is now?

The pistol is a fine weapon. U just have to kno how to use it. If u click the mouse fast enough it can pack a real punch. Its actually very accurate at long ranges as well. Dont be expecting to take down Heli's though.:laugh:

thats pretty crazy if you dont like the pistols they a good gun get lots of kills at close range when outa ammo...

the pistol isnt a piece of junk IMO the only thing I dont like.... I can shoot someone twice in the face, watch their heads snap back from impact and then they knife me.........

True that! It is a great finisher, if you did not close the deal on an enemy, and both of you have to reload, and the quick-draw FTW!

Once you learn how to use your pistol as an assault rifle, it becomes EXTREMELY deadly.

If I'm engineer and I unload 7 shots from the shotgun on the MEC team, I switch to pistol and finish them off with maybe 1-3 shots.

Helllloooooo. You should not expect to use a last resort weapon to beat someone with their primary weapon. Duh.

It should be good for killing unsuspecting enemy, or provide basic defense for yourself. It does it quite well in that role, stop changing it.

How are they a piece of junk?
U can pull it out when u confront an enemy while reloading ur main weapon.
Its great when ur primary weapon does not come inn handy when ur in a tight spot.
How do u think sniper like me cope out on the battlefield?
To us our pistol is our primary weapon cuz we have to have it out all the time when moving from a position to another.

I like it. I think the USMC pistol is easier to use than both the PLA and MEC pistols, although I think that's only because the iron-sights are tough to use.

Just yesterday I killed a guy with my USMC pistol while he was shooting at me with his G3. It's great because it's accurate and fires as quickly as you can press your mouse button.

so I zoomed and clicked as fast as I can

too bad he didn't use his G3A3 well

I think I would like to be further then 500m when that hits a target(or anything for that matter).
