What they should do is like what ever kit u play and abuse it they should have the rewards take for that kit or weapon and have there points wiped till before they abused the kit.

Thanks for the info Indianscout however I'm sticking to my guns on this one. There are too many people that do not know about these rules of engagment to just put it off to the legal mumbo jumbo that is contained in all that fine print. It is there and I understand the information it contains..

However looking at it from a customer standpoint EA could easaly put on the cover of the game read BF2ROE before play or something to that effect.

I think he's partially right. EA and DICE did a terrible job of telling people which servers they can and cannot go on. I think if somebody if found to be on a KP/High Points server, they should receive an annoying pop up similar the the crap we get everytime we log on. If they persist, stats wiped. I mean sure they put that you can't play on these servers in the RoE, but a lot of people don't read that. Also, why are KP/HP servers allowed to exist? They aren't taked down, nor are the admins punished, but they players are? Double you tee eff?

The players should read the EULA before checking the I agree button. It's EA's game and it's their ROE, all players and server owners are bound by it whether they choose to read it or not.

can you tell me where in the EULA does it says something about the ROE?

This is my opinion.

what is more important for a publisher is to sell. if they dont sale their company goes poo.
if they put the restriction in the game manual or the box many peopke wouldnt buy it. at the other hand they want to keep the comunity happy so they do it by reseting stats. when they first wrote the game and decited to have global stats they never thought that people would take advantage of their systems.(stats padders). so for me the best solution is to shut down stats and all the problems will go away.

I was checking out a K/P server last week where the ingame msg stated that the server was K/P and against the ROE with the possiblity of being reset and that the players were playing at their own risk. Not one player disconnected the whole time I was there and once they spotted my name all they had to say was I was messing with their fun. I reported the server and all players. This has become a dbl edged sword of sorts where players and servers don't care about running or playing in these type's of servers yet whine when they are reset. Can't have it both ways.

The ROE is not stated in the EULA, but you do agree to abide by all rules by checking the I agree button and installing.

I aggree with that whole heartedly however I'm not at all debating the fact that there are loosers out there who know the rules and break them. My only grip is the ones who don't understand what they are subject to....if caught breaking the rules even if they were unaware.

Frist, time warp, use your inside voice, please. I hate to break it to you, but writing in all caps or in bold just makes it look like you can't control the volume of your voice.

Second, ignorance is no excuse for the law. Period. I know we ALL just skip over the licensing agreement because we are excited to play the game, but it has the rules in there, I am sure.

Third, you have no right to your stats. Considering they run the stats server, they have the right to wipe them at their whim if they so wish. They could discontinue stats altogether if they wanted to.

So what, you don't like. You poor thing. Just deal with it.

However, if EULA does NOT reference these things, I agree with you totally, it is f-ed up. If it does, whatever.

And to all of you schmoes who are accusing the OP of wanting to go to K/P servers, READ HIS F-ING POST. It is clear his problem is not with the rules, but the way the rules are presented.

I agree with you. Maybe the ROE can be added to the EULA or be agreed to when the game is installed so there is no way of saying that a person didn't know. Right now this is the system in place that all of us as players or server owners have to work with.

Sorry, nobody but your mommy is obliged to spoon feed you.

The terms of agreement cover this whole debate. If you don't read them before you check "yes", then it is your fault. This is how contracts in the real world are written and executed. The onus is on the person that seeks to sign a contract or agree to terms to make sure said terms are in line with what that person is seeking to gain by signing the contract or agreeing to said terms.

So the whole argument about not knowing to visit forums or EA's website or reading the EURL or ROE is moot. You checked yes and in the end that is all that matters. If you don't like it, quit playing and delete your account.

I tell you people what, I Understand this whole BF2ROE stuff and aggree with it as far as it's a guideline to try and add some more rules to the multiplayer communmity however.

I think that anyone who gets their stats reset because of playing on a server that is not in the eyes of some of you ok, is STUPID. I mean come on people did BF2 say anything about this so called BF2ROE on the package or in the .dat files or in the so called user manuel?

NO so why should someones stats get reset when people are not notified in advance.

Tell you what I havn't gotten my stats reset however many of us have unknowingly entered a server only to find out it was a knife or pistol server and because we waited so long to load we stayed and played a bit. Tell you what if I ever do get my stats reset because of my unwanted knife or pistol episode ........this one would make it to court because thats just plain stupid. If ea wants to stop the crazyness then get rid of the servers all together. Ban the servers, fine the server owners but do not mess with you hard working everyday player who invested good money and normally had no idea of what they were getting themselves into when joining one of those servers.

In the US you can only sue for damages, what would you be suing for, your $50 back?
