When it comes to deflection of missiles yes. When it's about gunning and speed not. F-18 can track a J10 or any other plane much longer then the F-35 can.

Set up the perfect curve by a steady hand, there are som manouvers that always work. To far behind makes these manouvers useless.

The change of direction is the F-35's only chance. This can however hold the J10 at the required distance, which makes the J10 winner the second the F-35 fails his manouver. But for the J10, it's only a half loss. Since they with flaeres still can go full speed with afterburners, able to evade all missile attacks.

The F-35's revelation, comes when it can track the J10 from height, then engage high speed, to come close in a second. This is done by flying 90 degrees to the side, using mouse-view to spot the enemy. Then dive down like an eagle, just hitting it's victim before it even knows it's in danger.

The 10 seconds of afterburner is one of those things extremely difficult to time against a J10.

My favorite is as steep an angle as you have no time to aim machinegun, and no time for lock. This keeps you out of rear-view of any jet, so it works all the time when the hunted jet is lock on it's target.

The second before you pass it, fire machingun. Once the enemy disseapers benieth you, fire one dumb-fire missil.

If you fail and it's a fighterpilot you engaged: Stall, rearm, and reengage later.

The F-35 climbs faster, and has a higher ceiling then the J10. Save your flaeres and you have survived with about 80% health.

In air-to-air combat, the superior speed of the J10 will outmanover the F-35. But handled correctly, it's the one that fails that looses.

only problem is j-10s out maneuver and evaders missles better then the f-35. and to make it worse on wake island teh chinese start out with all the aa guns on the island under their control.

I also have noticed that there's a certain range that is the sweet spot for missile locks. Too close and you lose lock as soon as they turn. I have noticed the same with the MiG. When I'm in too close (I'm not talking 50-100 feet here where all you see is the engine nozzle) and shoot missiles often times I don't even see the missiles even though I have lock and they are launched. When I'm too far it seems to be much the same as in close but not as bad. I often times anticipate where they are going and move before they do. Back to how some can easily take down the Mig/Su in the F-35. I think they are doing some of these things like keeping good distance, using guns to soften you up, ambushing when going in for repairs or ammo, but most importantly, I think they are spamming all six missiles at once knowing some will get through flares.

                p.s. I use Logitech 3D Extreme.
OH! LOL. So you have no idea why or how they kill you, at all? Meanin, you never checked your six to see what they are doing? Then you were probably ambushed. They spotted you, you lost them, they reengaged and just got silently from behind.

Somebody really needs to knock both Chris and Planewhore down a peg.

With that being said - would you allow spectators ?

Lmao, I read about 3 pages and couldn't read anymore. No offense to any of you guys but what im basically reading is:
"I'm better than you in a jet."
"Nuh uh, I'll pwn you anyday."

I think some people can agree. Also when ppl say the J-10 pilot must be a n00b, really mean, he doesn't have the experience I have thus creating him to be a n00b and inferior to the person.

Although whoever was the one sayin you gotta be a n00b to die in a j-10 b/c of a f35, u suck :|.

I'm contemplating posting the IP in this thread when SMOKE arrives for people interested in specating... problem is my better judgement is telling me that if I do that some jackass will join up with the sole purpose of disrupting us.

Ive never said Im the best. Fact is, Ive been bested a lot. And I aknowledge it when a superior pilot hands my *** out for me on a silver plate. I also focus a lot learning about my mistakes and with each loss I grow smarter and better. I rank myself simply and generally as "above average", but due to my personal philosphy of "figure out and counter" I always try to find a reason why certain things happen. In BF2, its just that much easier. That being said I consider myself an honourable pure-breeded dogfighter, who will let you take off if youve proven to be a good champ and offered a good fight (that means, you let me up aswell). I am good, no doubt, but Im not the best, as PW states he is. I do think he is one of those pilots that does good for his team, and hes surprisingly more mature than most of the pilots. Just because hes on an egotrip, doesnt make him a kid.

Almsot everything I know, I share with others. In aerial aspect, Ive been very helpful, and I dont think you can ignore that.

Let me also remind you where this all got a start from-

Hey noob, don't drop you flares right away and use rear view to see when missles are launched. When you actually see missles heading your way flares get dropped not before. Also barrel roll, not aileron but barrel, missles just go all around and can't react like that. To do a barrel roll take the stick and pull it to a bottom corner, viola they missed.

If I was chasing you, you'd be an easy kill and this is why. I'm right on your *** in bomb mode and I switch to missles but do not fire I then wait for you to drop flares and I don't have to wait long. I then switch back to bomb mode, now you think you lost me and fly nice and straight at which time I unload guns at you and switch to missles and know just two off as you've no flares and are going straight, bye bye. Sometimes you make it real easy and slow down for a gun run on a chopper and I don't even switch to missles and I pwn you with guns in an F-35 on Wake. Go me.

I'm moist with anticipation. I would like to see this video as well. Regardless of outcome, I love watching good BF2 clips.

Planewhore, spectators might be lame like you said. Unless you can trust other folks to join to take their own FRAPS, and not disturb the match.

Doesn't this seem moot though? He's posted exactly what he does, so it be pretty easy to predict his movements. Meh, should be entertaining anyway.

yes, f18 with a good pilot is even more unhittable than a j10. but u need to know what your doing.
