i like the team im in winning more than the fun factor of an individual having his "fun" mind you =P

that isnt what i meant, what i mean is, a person that takes away the fun from others simply to gain a (rather meaningless) win, is really being selfish.....

if you cannot have fun without wining, then you seemed to have missed something, and i pity you



people seem to forget this is a game, and everyone has the right to use all of its features, and anyone who disallows this is detrimental to the game, and its community, and should be removed until they learn to share

dude, shut up. he's one of the best pilots I've gunned for. He taught me how to TV missile.

Sloi is right, like it or not. When I solo I am able to take out whatever I want, why? because I have the control over both. If I see a tank and some random person I don't know is my gunner I have to assume that they know what they are doing, I line them up and they sit there blasting with the MG.

So when you solo, your able to set yourself up and use the TV taking out the tank, it does help the team. I rarely solo anyway. I get teamkilled alot, but thats on public servers. If I play with a friend the job gets done better if you like. Solo'ing is one of those jobs that need done when your team needs a heli pilot most. Alot of incompetent morons who get in the chopper with the sole intent of base/spawn raping with the MG, they have no clue on how to operate the TV missile, they just have one thought in their head ''take me to an popular base so I can blast them''.

So yeah, flame all you like but face the truth. Sloi is right on that part. If your flying with a buddy or an competent pilot/gunner then it is all fine and well. But when you get a random player who are incompetent and don't know what a TV missile is it sucks. As I said, solo'ing is a must for those times when no one is using the heli or no one is competent enough to use the heli and you have no buddy around so its as well putting it to use.

Agreed, and anyone who TK's for a vehicle/jet whatever is statpadding and should be wiped of thier precious stats. A private is as much entitled to any vehicle in the game as the top BF2 player is! If you team kill to stop him YOU ARE A STAT PADDER! and breaking the ROE

You friggin 'leet' pilots better get a clue. You CANNOT learn on SP, because the SP pilots are IDIOTS! They don't do a damn thing. The ONLY way to learn is online. Period. End of discussion.

people who complain about incompetant gunners make themselves look incompetant, as they cannot make the kills themselves unless they can switch seats.....

is it really such a hassle to let other people use the heli they have every right to use? would it really kill you to share? are points and wins sooo important to you that you will greedily whore the vehicle in such a vain pursuit? if you have answered yes, please revisit your elementry school 'social skills' class, as you have some learning to do

Exactly, the only way to learn is to get pwned over and over again, or fly with a really good pilot, and you will see what and what not to do.

I learnt gunning from a very patient and skilled pilot who walked me through the process on VOIP. Otherwise, I probably still wouldn't have a clue about TV missiles.

Fact is, if "elite" pilots want "elite" gunners, then they better put on their coaching caps. It won't work all the time, and probably won't work most of the time, but it is unfair to just kill off a gunner because they don't seem to know what they're doing. If it is clear that your gunner sucks, then you have rockets to use. There is no need for TKing your gunner.

just because someone is a private doesnt mean they just started playing the game. Many mnay people have multiple accounts, Ive been playing this game since last july yet my rank ingame is a private. Does that make me less worthy to occupy a seat in a chopper, hell no.

You rank ingame has no bearing on your actual skill level

Most of the people that play this game don't want to get slaughtered when they play. Having incompetent people in air vehicles on air maps is a good way to lose and get raped resulting in a horrific experience.

I know letting people have the 'chance' to do something is the right thing, but that too has its consequences. If you know (and you should know) you can't do something well, don't do it. You should all know your strengths and weaknesses in a game. Do what you do well. If you can never hit anything with your TV missile... get the hell out of the gunner seat. If all you do is die in a jet... let someone else fly and stop screwing your team etc..

ppl have argued this point enough........it is this mentality that keeps people from having opportunity to learn......this 'Do what you do well' idea is also known as WHORING......so sorry someone wants to ruin your whoring by learning something they dont do well..........if you let them, they will gun well too.......
