whenever i play MEC i use the rpk and whenever i am on US i use the M249 SAW. they both are very powerful with high rpms but i prefer the rpk over the m249. i never use the pkm or mg36, they suck so bad.........trust me i am ranked about 280 with light machine gun but i'm taking it easy trying to get my sniper hours

Distance shooting is horrible, even prone. And the time it takes to warm up before opening fire your already dead..
I go engy for close quarter, specs for run around intending to meet a tank, snipes for distance and claymore blocking passages, and meds for teamwork (Automatic aint half bad close quarter, will take out a support guy anyday)

If you can't hit with the PKM you have problems. I am a support player, most of my time is with support. PKM weapon of choice. Just aim and fire in bursts, if you hold it down the spray is terrible, a few short bursts = win.

The PKM is a beast when you know how to handle it, many 100 point rounds.

Just for the record the RPK-74>>>PKM. Higher rate of fire, same damage, same accuracy.

I use the PKM the most..I feel in love with the gun/class early.

200+ hours as support and 14k kills with an LMG..makes you use to them all.

249 and 36 suck IMO. Fast and weak..add in the usual LMG deviation and there worse. If ya gotta deal with having the most inaccurate gun means you have to hit hard when you do..and you have to be able to do it long..long and short. Single shot PKM will snipe at Med range, and hit hard. Clsoe quarters, make your shells kill first =D
RPK is nice, its a speedy weaker PKM.

The PKM is my weapon of choice. I find it to be really accurate over long distance. As long as you stay prone and use short accurate bursts you can mow down people ... i think its got a great sound too

Someone before got it right. Never use the iron sights.

1. They hide the tracers.
2. They hide the dynamic reticule.
3. They hinder your sight.

1, 2 and 3 combined gives you an illusion of accuracy and precision.

The MG36 is great in burst mode and the PKM is made for two shot bursts. Always pause until the reticule is at it's smallest or you'll get raped by the enemy. That is, be patient. The PKM is not to be used as a surpressive weapon, because once you stop shooting, the enemy will stick his head up and have far superior accuracy when returning fire. The mg36 and m249 can be used for that purpose though because the reticule gets smaller faster.

Edit; Don't forget to adjust for trajectory when assaulting snipers.

PKM is very good gun but you must use 1-2 shots on medium and far distance,i Close you just spray:)
MG36 is fr more better on medium and long distances ,with 3 shot burst you can hit everything,but it loses in close,because it has only 30dmg and if some1 with a good weapon will come you are dead meat,with mg36 its like g36e avoid close quaters but if you are quick you can handle everything

I dont use RPK cause for mec i am always medic/at because of AK is the best

I never zoom the pkm, even at long range. I just hold the trigger and feel around, works great.

PKM = Personal Killing Machine

I never played support till I got the PKM.

Zoom at long range and fire one shot at a time. 45 damage/shot is sick. Up close, dive and mash on the trigger. A couple guys with PKM's can down a chopper fast, but man do they make a lot of noise.

And do give support a good name while you're whorin' it up and drop ammo bags for those who need them. And DON'T drop them when your squad is trying to sneak around behind a flag...
