I have yet to watch a CAL match live.. but I always watch the recordings afterwards..

Those matches are pretty intense and interesting to watch.

I guess it's like anything else. If you're not familiar with a sport, don't know the players and don't know the teams it's not going to be as interesting as it would be for somebody who knows the sport and it's players.

this forum is for pubers, so dont expect them watch real game. And all opinions about clan events ussually are discussed in in irc or forums for those leagues.
If ppl in pubs would look at those showcast, maybe we wouldnt have that much whining and still have bf2 as it was in 1.02, or at least in 1.22 :/. No one whines in clan events about spwn/base raping, bunnyhoping, dolphin diving etc. But for some reason dice listens only for whining pubers not for pro players like hot, c7, 20id etc.

You win with all means necessary. No harm in that. In PUB its all about immersion and fun. In clan matches its for winnings and losses.

What amazes me the most is how swiftly armor gets taken down. Its like StarCraft balance all over again. True, many would learn from these videos a lot.

Compare it to real sports. I have FUN playing football (soccer), yet on TV, on professional gaming, its all different. Guys pretending to be hurt, being agressive, racist, doing anything they can to win. Total faggotry. Still an interesting sport to watch.

is most of the time commen sense if you hear or spot a tank and let two members who are death spawning as AT :)

it's very hard to rape with a tank in a clan matches but in publics it's alot of :laugh: , that why most of the time clanners hate those nerfs because it feel unnacery
and no we don't say all nerfs where bad but come on do it right then.

Yep ive used that before too ..., unfortunatly my connection sucx so i have to download the archives manually first. They are quite interesting to see how clans coordinate (or not lol) and sometimes very amusing to watch :P

Well to be more accurate BFTV is now FragTV but still part of BFGeeks network.

Which leads me to the next topic. As some of you might have noticed, what you've previously known as BFTVm has undergone a name change. BFTV as out know it, will from now on be called FragTV. The-Swede put up a temporary site on fragtv.net, so he could continue his casts with rest of the gang (the man can't live without it!) and right now we are working hard to get FragTV integrated with the rest of the network (BFGeeks, GeekNews, etc.) The name change will among other things, allow us to expand to other games, without being branded as a one game broadcasting orginization.

I never seen so many people hopping around and pronehopping as I've seen in these livecasts. It makes you realize what you've been doing wrong all along. But overall they use team work great. It's just very sad to see how they play. I think they have a macro key they hold down that prones and jumps every 3 seconds. I mean watching the video it's just sad to come to a reality that there is no way for a casual gamer to play this game when they are up against craP like that. I watch COD2 and I didn't see them proning or hopping all over the place. Why do they do this in bf2? It's so crap looking. How do you even enjoy the game when your doing that almost non stop.

Because it's intense.

When you're playing in competition you do anything (within the rules of the comp) to win. This is something that's just accepted by pro players. Go into a comp and whine about DDing or BHing and watch your arse get laughed right outta the league.

If you've never played in a competitive or ladder match, you simply don't know how over the top those matches can get. Watching 'em gives you a clue, but it's still nothing like actually being there.

Myself, I gave up competitve gaming a long time ago. I found the charm wore off and turned my fun gaming into a stressful afair that demanded way too damned much of my time and ultamatly robbed my games of their fun factor.
