Nope, no cash involved in any way as we dont have our own servers,its a clan for pubbers, an ironic clan specifically to take on clanners, no committment only to spew out anything thats in your head on the forums, click on my sig and register on the siteComment

Im really liking your "non-clan" clan idea. A clan for the average noob with no commitement(i may have spelled that wrong) sounds like a great idea. As for clans in general, not all are haters of the clanless, VitalShotSquad, the can i want to join eventually, is a good example. they treat everyone equally and are a great bunch to play with.
A good example of the above is Relentless Clan. In my opinion they are the worst clan becuase they don't play by the rules, not even the ones they themselves set. I used to play on their server regularly until i was banned for coming in first on alot of the matches and making smart-alecky comments on how they didnt follow the rules when the other team was winning. they treat non-clan members like permanent privates also. I was luaghing my arse off when i was finally banned in a "it finally happend" kinda way becuase i was 150 points ahead of the next best player despite their cheating and then i got the ban message box thing saying "eff off Zalte" or something to that degree.Originally posted by Chodda

I think its a great idea count me in :laugh: the only problem I can see is that in time it may very well turn into a proper clan :hmm: . Ive got nothing against clans myself its just that I cannot commit myself to clan matches etc but most imprtantly I cant be arsed to take it that seriously :p .Comment

Great, glad to have you on board fubar, join up on the site, i guarantee you this will never ever ever be a proper clan in that sense, its for us pubs that dont take BF2 as sersiously as the clanners( but we do enjoy to play for fun ) and who dont have time to commit to meeting up at certain times every week/day whatever all that we ask is that we support one and other when were in game together and we can use game-monitor to see what servers our members are onComment

EDIT: i have an idea. After a while people will start to google our [CPo] "clan". They will find website with forums, log in... normal clan website... they might think it is cynic... we "whining" about clans and making our own.. maybe this site in its main part should have big sign "YOU HAVE BEEN OWNED BY NOOBS!!" or smtn like that? maybe list of [CPo]'s. I dont know.. but it shouldn't be "normal". hope you know what i meanComment

I used to belong to a clan when playing COD and COD UO. I quickly left. I felt that when playing against the public, most members all wanted to be on the same team so that they could "take care of the rest of the enemy". God forbid they were left alone with the public members, not able to play on VoIP with guys who knew what they were doing.
What I found, however, was that most of the clan members (and this happens to be in most clans) could not do anything by themselves, let alone help their team. I shudder when I remember the constant screams of "that f*cker is cheating" and "no1 is THAT good, mother *******" and "damn nobs cant do anything". Now, when we play, I hear the occasional "I need help" or "good game" after the match is done.
I agree that some clans have some nice folk in them, hell, two of my buddies that I still play with were met in the clan I belonged to. I found that my overall "skills" in the game(s) came from playing independantly AND helping my team out by offering support. This in itself is attributed to any given person, not just to those who belong to a clan.
The good public players are a rare breed, this I agree with. Any clan member who thinks all public members are "noobs" and whatever other infantile insult they can think of, would be surprised of playing against or with me and two of my friends. We get together like clans do, and we squad up like clans do. However, we do our own thing and end up with high scores and we help our team avoid quick defeat and/or win the map.
As for the topic starter, we had a "name" for me and my two friends, the "Anti-Clan Militia". We had nothing to prove, never had a website and never tried to start a match with another clan. We simply joined a server, made certain we were on opposite teams of the clan members, and were either kicked for "hacking" or "no reason given" when we'd win the map with the highest scores.
Think of a clan like the Church. It beckons with the hope of being "better" than others, but ends up gathering the sheep within a community. Once you're in, some practice the exploits of a map. They practice with "wannabe military" tactics, expecting real life urban and battlefield tactics tobhelp them and their win a match. The public members? They join with the possibility of enjoying the game and having fun, that's it. No competition.

machstem - agree with everything you say, looks like you were the original inovator of an anti clan clan, lol, however this clan is for absolutely everyone, its about fun, bringing a little organisation to us pubs in the sense of helping one another and joining squads, but thats it, our website will be a place to come together, have a list of what servers our members are on, and the usual ask questions forums, also BF2 newbies can get help with certain things from other members. The point of our clan is only to be a clan for the sake of being one because of a lot( not all ) of the grief clans give usComment
