Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
I'm not buying 2142. Not because I have some big beef with EA/DICE, but because it's just not interesting to me. With the legged armor they have in the game the best thing that could come out of 2142 is a Star Wars mod that could make really good AT-ATs and AT-STs. Still, not enought to buy it.
I'm not going to buy 2142 because of the support thus far...especially after 1.30.
Instead of coming out with a hotfix to fix the server crashes...and implementing an Infantry Only mode that doesn't make sence...and a whole host of bugs and issues that haven't been resolved since release.
No thanks EA/DICE...I'm going to go try Quake Wars.
Here are some solutions to 'fix' BF2:
'Vehicle-lite' ranked map option:
Replace Tank/APC spawns with Heavy Jeeps
Replace AA vehicles with Light Jeeps
Remove Jets.
Replace Littlebird and Attack Helicopter spawns with Transport Helicopters
'Vehicle-neutered' ranked map option:
Same as above except no guns on the transport vehicles.
'Supply-line' ranked map option:
Flags can only be taken in a certain order
Fix server crashes
Fix client crashes
Drop a boat when doing a vehicle drop over water
Set number of grenades to 2
Give an extra bag to Support and Medic kits
Repair points earned at a x3 rate
Put +/- 5 meter variance to vehicle drops
Place barbed wire inside all structures (no one can glitch anymore)
Add a Buddy List (was promised in 1.20 patch)
Fix browser issues
Fix Server Info issues (I want to see the IP/server name again)
Bf2 has given me 300 hours of fun and entertainment. I expect the same from 2142 which I will beta test, play the demo and buy on the day it comes out.
Some people need to grow up and realize that worthless little protests like these only draw attention to maybe acouple of hundred people and are soon forgotten, does anyone remember the Bf2 strike that was going to happen, well it didnt happen.
Bf2 sold 1 million+ copys. Where are the other 999500 people.
There playing Bf2 for all it's worth and having a great time.
2142 will own.
The sooner people grow up, stop crying N3RF, grow some balls and pull their heads out of their arse's the better.
To the people crying "2142 Mod!"
Maybe your to stupid to realize that BfV used an upgraded 42 engine.
Using the same engine is a good idea, more time go's into working out bug's and stuff and less time is spent on the new engine.
It's interesting to note that they're implementing changes to BF2142 that people were asking for in BF2, friends list anyone? BF2142 is going to have that, oh and check this out...
The truly dedicated Engineer will be able to trade out his original Anti-Vehicle missiles for a powerful Anti-Air missile system. Pilots had better be on their toes when an AA equipped Engineer is on the battlefield!
i wont be, had enough of BF to last a life time. It was fun while it lasted, until someone whined and had the game changed from its original incarnation at 1.0 to the joke it is today.
As BF2 stands now, I cannot bring myself to purchase another product from a company that has not adequatly supported the product I currently own, that being said if patch 1.4 fixes the major issues with BF2 I will definitly reconsider, if patch 1.4 fails to resolve the issues, not only will I not purchase 2142, I will not purchase any other titles released by EA or dice.
