Hey, u guys are a bit immoderate. Why are u playing BF2? Becuase (I know it is hard to say) it's a kick *** game! You ENJOY playing, right? Thanks to WHO, exactly? BF2 hasn't created itself, and EA/Dice just added some bugs. This game is so wonderful - there must be a price. And the bugs are not so terrible! Everything on net has its connection probs and stuff... I think it worth the 50$, despite the bugs and problems.

But EA must learn from all of this, i'm sure there will be lots of ppl who won't but 2142 b/cuz the problems. So EA, what were you thinking, this is not Disney here, we won't watch Winnie-the-Pooh 7. So if you want to continue selling, don't release games before they're ready. We gamers don't care how much time it takes to develop, it even makes the game more special and unique, increasing the expectation thus increasing the buying!

im happy to say i have never had ANY issues with BF2.

no crashes, no log in problems, nothing.

and i really dont think its worth the time to sit here and ***** about changes and nerfs. big deal, get over it and move on.

bottom line: if you are unhappy with BF2, stop playing it. if you dont want to buy BF2142, then dont buy it. why do you care what others do?

I think lots of ppl will buy BF2142. There are 1 million BF2 players or even more. So you don't think that 500.000 will buy BF2142?

This is simple, the more you affect, the more maneuverable, the more power you get. Why do you think in the Elections all the candidates want to say how much they're great? cuz if ppl will believe them, the'll have more power to maneuvere others to do what they want, and RULE THE WORLD!! :guns:

I'll probably get 2142, why ? To see what it look like, the 4 Class, and the character customization look nice, with what, 52 Unlocks they Said ? So around 1500 Kit customization possibility ? I think EA learned of their fault and will get us a less bugged game and i said LESS not without. Because you know, in those 5 last years, never seen a game WITHOUT A PATCH... So shut up with your whinning about BF2, it's a game like other...

I will most likely buy this game and several other ones also. I think the people with tighter wallets are a little more vicious; god help you people when you have to buy a drink for a lady at the bar.

Anyways I had patience and worked out problems with BF2 by doing combination of tinkering with drivers and setting; came down to a bad PSU of all the things.

I think lots of ppl will buy BF2142. There are 1 million BF2 players or even more. So you don't think that 500.000 will buy BF2142?

I might get it, but I think I am going to go over to a friends house and register the Names I want to use on his copy before I decide if I am going to really want to get it.

I think I will definately get it if an amazing BF2 Clone Mod arrives, even if I am deep in QW. Like DC for BF42.

BF2142 should have 43 ranks, over 40 unlocks. If they not change it suddenly.

here's a link to a presentation made by a DICE manager guy talking about the patches, bf2142, quake wars etc..

i was NEVER going to buy bf2142 however i think that they have learned a little bit from their mistakes.. a good example of this is where the guy outright says that they messed up with the vehicle drops. he admits that ppl aren't using them for what they are meant for most of the time.

Don't get me wrong, CTDing sh*ts me to tears almost everytime i play but i'm willing to see what they do with the release of the 1.4 patch. if it's good, and they don't mess up again, i'll buy 2142.. if it sucks, i'll buy Quake Wars. plain and simple.

there are millions of online gamers in the world, me standing firm and saying f**k you EA and DICE i want a good patch does nothing. they simply don't care about that. So, make a better stand, don't whinge about EA or DICE or the patching issue, just buy another game.

If everyone who's unhappy does this, EA will see their revenue go down and work it out themselves, and in the meantime, we can all still enjoy playing games instead of getting all worked up about something that we alone cant change.

As they say - money talks.

and the ppl who read this thread are a tiny fraction of the BF2 community. not much affect, if you ask me.

plus, whats the big deal? so what if 2142 turns out to be crap? oh well, just didnt work out for you. i've bought plenty of games that i thought were a mistake, but i didnt go around signing a petition or anything. you just toss it back in its case and put it on the shelf with the rest of your games. i know it might sound like super blasphemy, but i didnt think 1942 was all that great. i did buy it, with the expansions, and didnt even play it 1/4 the amount i play BF2. hell, i played Day of Defeat more than i did BF1942.

They just pushed Quake Wars back into 2007.

Most of my clan will be buying 2142 the day it comes out and then throwing a LAN party afterwards.

Bottom line: The BF2 series has been the best FPS game yet, and I love running with my bros capping flags and talking $h!t in our vent server while doing so. I will get the new game, just to prepetuate my long distance hang out wednesday night fights...
