I wont be getting BF2142. The reason i like BF2 so much is because it has a degree of realism and it looks and feels like a real war. This futuristic crap that ive seen in 2142 does nothing for me.

No way will I buy 2142. QUAKE WARS for sure. Im' just playin BF2 to fill the gap till QUAKE WARS comes out.

I've noticed that in almost every game ea or not there are always people who complain. There will always be problems in games.

i agree bf 2142 looks bad they only have 4 kits and 2 armies. i think bf2 will always be better. save yourself 50$ dont but 2142. YOU WILL REGRET IT. DONT MAKE BATTLEFIELD 2 THE NEXT 1942.

I think one of the strenths of BF2142 is only 4 kits. There are just more tools per kit. I think this will help solve the problem of weak kits that don't get used much, like engineer.

I'll buy 2142. Seriously, it's $50. Come on. BF2 has cost me less than .10 cents an hour. I played over a year.

With Frontlines and QW:ET also coming, it's hard to say which will be the winner for me. I will likely try them all. And I expect to spend a lot of time on BF2 mods also.

Wow, you know nothing about this game do you? There may only be four kits, But you can effectively play as all the kits from BF2. The recon is specops/sniper, depending on the wepaon you give him as his primary. support=support, engineer=engy+medic, assault=medic/assault. WE still have all the classes, it just depends on how you outfit them. And i personally don't care if theres only 2 armies, but if you do, go right ahead.

If BF 2142 gets good reviews from the majority of the sites i go through I'll be getting it. It's true that BF2 has its share of problems, but really, what game dosent? I expect the same from 2142, a few bugs here and there are fine with me as long as the main game is balanced and fun. It's stupid and illogical and next to useless to whine and complain like a child about the things you dislike about a game on a webforum with 99% of the users liking the game. So do everyone a favor and either deal with the problem or stop playing it all together and not buy what you do not like.

Nobody is arguing that the game should be BUG FREE,we all agree that ALL games are not bug free, WE (at least i) GET IT. The point is, it’s been over a year and EA/DICE is still focused on “leveling the playing field” by dumbing/slowing down (all thanks to pub scrubs of course) the game rather than addressing the bug and balance issues. the FACT is, with every patch EA released, it opened the door for new even more annoying bugs, and what is their response?? WAIT 3+ months for yet another patch. not to mention their empty promises of fixing existing bugs such as red/blue tag which has been around since 1.2.
EA/DICE and trauma studio had the right formula back in bf1942/DC. they improved game play by balancing the maps and eliminating annoying bugs. they also added new content for FREE to keep the game fresh, and thats why a lot of bf series vets like me are so unhappy with the current game, EA/DICE greed and refuse to buy their other crap.
Just wondering where did you come up with 99% of current users liking the game?? I highly doubt it. after reading many threads, i would think it would be much lower than that.

BF2 is my favorite game and I can't stop playing it, but I sign the petition against EA game and DICE because

1. They useless attempt at Special Forces, if they can't make an extension pack of BF2 right what do you think a new BF2 based game is going to be like.

2. It looks crap, the aged its set in is too advance, the age BF2 is set in is as far as it should go, it won't be as good as other futuristic games like Half-life 2.

3. Too early, most people are happy with BF2, but EA will forget about BF2, people will stop playing so less severs and less people playing, and there will be no more booster packs or anything like that.

I agree with both sides about the patches and the bugs, but also don't keep complaining about, EA don't care about your views as long as they are making money (are ripping us off with faulty but good games)
So don't buy BF 2142 stay loyal and just play battlefield 2.

Aha yeah, I’ve been waiting for the forum english professor to pop up and correct my grammar.

i am not anti EA/DICE. i own 3 games by EA (MOHAA, BF42 and BF2). i am only frustrated with how the pub scrubs demanded to dumb up the game and DICE listened to their demands, and the way they have handled the bugs/balance issues. it’s one thing to see them hard at work correcting their screw ups; it’s another when they’re ignoring us for months because they’re busy with their new release. that’s why i refuse their crap.

i come here to support the MODs and provide people (willing to listen/read) with FACTS and my 2 cents about the game. i realize that the truth hurts, hence why you’re so hostile toward people providing FACTS about bf2. fortunately you do have two choices; you can either ignore my posts or present me with FACTS that counter mine, otherwise your meaningless off topic (grammar) insults will be ignored.

P.S not to make excesses for the lack of my english vocabulary/grammar. i am a foreigner, and been living in the US for 12years, and proud to say i am fluent in arabic, chaldean and somewhat English (I can get around) . so please forgive my English. happy now
