That's cool. I've been watching all the new media being released and I felt the same way at first. Now, I am changing my mindset on that. I like the new concepts that they are providing. There is a dev clip about 10 minutes long on gamespot.com that shows what they have been up to.
The problems with BF2 really should not be there in 2142. There are a lot of really cool games coming out later this year and next year, I'll probably end up getting most if not all of them, the demos will decide that:

I really like the fast paced FPS. BF2 was that, but it seems that somewhere along the line the focus went to balanceing and rebalancing instead of stability and optimizations.

I wont be buying it either. More for the reason that it looks flat out stupid than being buggy. I played BFV, waited a few patches to get BF2 and it was still buggy as hell. Although I put up with it, if I had known the trouble it would give me I would have never picked up a copy.

I got no problems with BF2, accept the part taht it does take time to lig in, but thats your connection... I WILL buy it.

Can't wait to buy 2142. I've been playing BF2 since it came out and I have never played another game for so long.

How easy we forget, we used to spend 50-80 dollars on a game to only play it for a couple of weeks and that was ok. Don't get me wrong, of course there are things wrong with this game BUT there will ALWAYS be things you don't like about any game, that’s life; stop bitching like 10 year old girls and grow the **** up!

Jesus, I hate all these damn whiners, EA this and DICE that, wake up and live in the real world. You people want everything and don't give anything. Oh wait, that's right you spent $50 for a game and want EA to do nothing but support that game for the next 5+ years, **** doesn’t work that way people.

No company is perfect and EA has made a number of mistakes with games but if the down sizing of E3 tells us anything is that people like you all are slowly killing the game industry by wanting to spend $50 every 4 years on a game, well that's doesn't pay for all the developers that worked on a game, all the PR that a distributor puts out for that game and everything else that company has to do to put a game on the market.

I love computer games and I will continue to support the industry (since I work in it) by buying games and trying them. If I don't like it then I won't start some stupid ****ing thread about I hate everything, I will move on and try another game.

This thread shows that many members of this community have no brains and no idea what it takes to produce a game like BF2.

just dont update i havent and theres tons of servers its great and im deffinitly buying bf2142 im am a loyal bf fan. I praise god for every day he gives me playing battlefield OORAH

Changed my mind I'm going to sign this petition! But I don't think I'm going to buy the game only to have EA pissed or w/e

For all the bad things they've done with BF2 I don't care if they want to make it 'OK' now because of that stupid Beta..
