But considering BF2142 is about to launch, do you sincerely believe they would be inclined to dedicate resources to an old product?

it prob wont be the final patch...bf2142 isnt due out for a while (still have a few months) so we're likely to see another patch

IMO, I think 1.4 will be the last. Only if there aren't any more issues introduced from that patch. And we all know the odds of that happening...

cerrainly hope so. i for one dont like the whole futueristic bit. i would keel over and die laughing if bf2142 as a whole was worse than the 1.3 patch:laugh: .

to be honest, i think 2142 will be really good because they learned from their mistakes with bf2.

Similar things happened with Call of duty, though the only problem they really had was bunny hopping but when 1.01 came out, guess what, there was no more bunny hopping. But there were other things they fixed, just small things, nowhere near the problems bf2 had.

When Call of Duty 2 came out a couple years later. There were virtually no problems with it. No bunny hopping right from launch among other things. So lets HOPE that DICE has learned alot from BF2 (i would say their previous BF titles but 2142 and BF2 are same engine) and when 2142 comes out all the problems we faced will be gone, and any new ones that might occur.

I think EA needs to slow down, they are going to fast with the franchise. They are still alot of issues with BF2 and they are releasing expansions and now BF2142 is coming out.

DarkEagle-ftw! totally agreed. they should certainly fix bf2 before they put 2142 out. im talking about the bugs, not balancing waht people think is broken. (some will complain no matter what is done.) DONT GIVE UP EA.
