I would go into my thoughts and opinions of EA/DICE but frankly at this point it's not worth the time, nor the effort. If it took them 4 months to fix a MAJOR stability issue with the server crash bug in 1.3, I have a sinking feeling that they arent going to do anything about the jet issue. More importantly, would you want them to try to fix it? think about how many things they have tried to fix in the past year and just made worse, red tag/ blue tag bug, still around, now after all the patches we are right back where we started except for a few gameplay changes which went over like a fart in a space suit (prone delay, nerf of helos, cartillery).

IMHO, I would rather they not try to "fix" anymore problems for concern about what they might screw up ....AGAIN. Personally I would rather they coordinate with punkbuster and resolve the issue with alot of hacks out there, especially the commander hack that I saw for the first time 3 nights ago. How is this not fixed? EA/DICE/PUNKBUSTER = larry, curly, moe.

I understand the problems they've had, but a solution to this is to just switch out the USMC jets from F35s to F18s, and leaving missile code etc the exact same.

This would eliminate the huge balance issue while involving no change to any game mechanics like missiles or hitboxes etc. Only thing they would have to review is carrier placement.

They've broken the game enough... please, before i set fire to your product and make EA voodoo dolls.. stop the support. let us go back to 1.0 and leave it alone.. it's like watching the special kids trying to put squares blocks in circle holes.

SHUT UP ABOUT EA, its annoying enough but you saying that its "easy" to patch a game perfectly (it cant exist)

lets see you make a game, wait, you can't so stop saying things like you know stuff.

in my oppinion this patch is perfect, ive never had so much fun. im a ground pounder and get over 30 points higher then the runner up and i NEVER use cheap exploits like dolphin diving. im not trying to be cocy but dolphin diving was the most lame thing ive ever seen in a videogame in my life. and how do i play with out it you might ask? I USE TACTICS AND OUT SHOOT THE COMPETITION. thats what all realistic fps should be like and if you REALLY want to run around and use your speed more then your guns then get a shooter like quake or something.

and you're only pissed about dolphin diving cause
a) you can't do it
b) you get killed by it

this whole argument of dolphin diving being an exploit is a joke.
and you know what.. yeah, i don't make video games, and that's not my thing. But any software company that can't patch it's own **** without constantly breaking stuff... there's something wrong there. of coarse there's going to be people that have issues, you're trying to push it into a million different environments.

That would explain why the flares don't even work half the time...

Yup, and all you gotta do in the j10 is double tap F, and you're back on.

And patching a game is quite easy... All they have to do to balance the jets is change some tweak files. . .

im not a pilot normally but after a few rounds on wake i have to say the JSF is USELESS. im not a good pilot but can down the JSF with the J10 almost everytime, and get shot down in the JSF almost everytime by the J10.

DICE need to fix it, no excuses. we waited months for 1.4 so fix CRASHING, a couple weeks to fix this is nothing.

my personal opinion is that the BF2 engine is so stuffed up they cant fix anything without risking breaking the entire thing.

Just make that the Missiles hit the J10!Iam not a noob a Play alot in Planes and most of the Time. In F35B the Missiles dont hit the J10 i shoot 6 Missiles and no one hits that Plane,they just slide over the j10.

Second make the Flares Reload faster.Like the J10 Flares.

Thats all than its Balanced

Reading the original post by metallica guitarist, everything he says is right on. With the capabilities of the J10, every time I fly it I feel as if I'm doing some sort of exploit. So I can shoot down any jet wether they flare or not and near nothing can shoot me down? Sounds like and exploit to me. Sad thing is it's not and it's been this way for quite some time.

There's a reason they fixed the noob tubes, it was for the balance. It feels like something was overlooked in the air, but we all know the imbalance is no secret.

Kinda funny how a laid back home modder can fix the F-35/J-10 issues, but professional gaming dev's can't...? On the 64 Single Player mod, both these jets are seriously lethal.....either get behind you, your done! Play with the bots on Expert.....try to avoid death when the bot gets on your 6....LOL your going down no matter what jet your in. Same is true for you...you get behind a bot...in any jet....hes going down! Shot 2 missles and back off to bomb....simple!

Anyone have an answer for this, why is the J10 easy to fix -- or fixed inherently -- in singleplayer? Wake is the only map I tried from the pack below but the J10 actually seems too easy to take down with missiles. We probably don't want this extreme, however, the point is that a jet's characteristics/properties seem to have easily been changed.

Yeah one time a while ago I got on hamachi with blades, and played wake. It was during the 1.4 beta I think.


Well when it was a local game, we tested the J-10... and we were killing the J-10 over and over.. whoever was in the F-35B. The missles hit exactly like they do the F-35B.

But then in multiplayer, it is how it is right now.. WAY different.

It seems almost like DICE had alot of J-10 whore programmers or something. :laugh:

And now EA is just like.... whatever... buy 2142!
