Re: Road to Jalalabad game play comments
Alright i just finished my first round of jalalabad.
Opinions- the map itself is exelent, the new karkand for sure, i love the accessability of the rooftops and such things. The first server i joined was realy laggy and i was worried that it was the patch that cause it, but i created my own local server and it was just as smooth as before. Anyway I thank ea/dice for finaly releasing something for free that people will enjoy. I give the map 8/10! gj guys keep up the good work.

Plenty of cover, maybe could do with a bit more immediately outside/along the main road out of the USMC mainbase, the first MEC flag has plenty, but the USMC will be wide open in the initial stages.Originally posted by [DICE]CKMCDo you guys feel like you are given enough cover to help negate the potential threat of snipers? Though of course the biggest threat to snipers are other snipers and players with knives.
As for snipers, any good sniper will have his claymore at the top of his ladder.....claymore = no knife. I see your point however regarding the available cover, though i feel the area around the hotel could be a sniper hotspot. Ive only played with about 8 people, i may well change my mind when ive played a full player load.Leave a comment:

I like the limited effectiveness of tanks. They can't roam absolutely everywhere slaughtering anything within 50 feet.
As for snipers, eh, we'll see.Leave a comment:

So it's more of a Mashtuur/Sharqi clone than a Karkand, doubt it will be the most popular map then. Karkand was popular due to the fact that snipers weren't as affective as there was alot of fog/dust.Originally posted by frazzmanSnipers heaven map, no doubt about that!
Dissapointing, nobody likes Snipers. Except everyone at BF2s.Leave a comment:

I think a few ladders may need to be removed. I think the excess rooves will produce large numbers of snipers which may detract for the Infantry combat a map like this is trying to produce. Not to many, just on or two.Leave a comment:

Well i think its excellent.., just had a short while playing on a 40 player server online and its great!.
Snipers heaven map, no doubt about that!. Some nice choke points i like the overall feel and aire to the map too.
Could they have got this one right?? shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
As for the gameplay .., hmm quite fluid it seems atm but will have to give it some time see how i settle in with it.
First impressions are great though.
(also added.., wow no CTD!. i used the incremental)Leave a comment:
