I just got done playing it and i really enjoyed it I had alot of fun, BUT... i noticed the USMC team was winning everytime and i was switching from mec to USMC each round and USMC team won everytime out of 7 games, maybe showing its a little too easy for one team to dominate but maybe more higer ranked players need to play and make compition a lil harder lol

Do you guys feel like you are given enough cover to help negate the potential threat of snipers? Though of course the biggest threat to snipers are other snipers and players with knives.

i think you guys should add more places to place snipers.

Its a little too late to say that CKMC, I already have it installed :|: :hmm: . You guys should try telling that QUICKER. :)

This came out days ago, and it was in the readme first file with both patches.

It's an amazing map. The road designs leave a lot of close-quarter battles and I can easily see each round having a totally different feel each time because it is so random. It is pungent of an influence of Basrahs Edge and Basrah Nights from Desert Combat, two excellent maps, so its great to see something like those two in BF2. The lack of space for major tank whoring will keep the karkwhores at bay, while the real infantry duke it out. Great work DICE, I'm impressed.

Included with the patch zip is some steps for how you can save yourself from re-installing:

Installation steps to protect your original BF2 install:
Beta Installation

1. Go to “C:\Program Files\EA GAMES”
2. Right click the “Battlefield 2” folder and choose “Copy”
3. Right click anywhere away from this folder and choose “Paste”
4. Once the copy has completed, you will have two folders named “Battlefield 2” and “Copy of Battlefield 2”
5. Install the patch 1.4 beta, then start the game as normal

When you wish to switch back to the release version of BF2, use the following steps:

1. Go to “C:\Program Files\EA GAMES”
2. Right click the “Battlefield 2” folder and choose “Rename”
3. Rename the folder to something like “Battlefield 2 Beta”
4. Right click the “Copy of Battlefield 2” folder
5. Rename the folder the “Battlefield 2”
6. Start the game as normal.

The shortcut will run BF2.exe from whichever folder is named “Battlefield 2” and both installations share the same registry entries.

Using the above steps will negate the need to completely uninstall and re-install whenever you wish to switch from the retail version to the beta version and vice versa.



Should help since I know re-installing with the CD's is less than awesome.

I know I have a pretty healthy system, but it would seem as tho the code has been optimized, because it sure seems to run alot better - smoother

anyone else notice this???

Its an Open Beta, not the actual patch. Youll have to wait until at least the end of the month, probably early next month by my reckoning.

Why can't you just ****ing tell me, I've not got the time to go search, I want to have a question answered so I can put it on download while I go away for half an hour.
