Re: 1.4 Feedback and Error Reporting

Over the past few years, I've been working with other beta testers on testing unofficial patches for a game made by the original and current devs who work on it in their spare time.

I'd just like to say that I hope everyone gives constructive feedback on 1.4 and not the "EA/DICE sucks!" crap. This is our chance to really make a positive difference and make BF2 enjoyable for all.

Just remember that there's *always* going to be players out there that are better than you, so it doesn't mean thay are automatically using exploits. If you regularly see someone using something that looks like an exploit, document it and report it.

Sure, we all get ticked off when we get our butts kicked, but try to separate that from the real issues and provide screenshots, your current situation, what others were doing, how long you were in-game, position, etc.

When you hold shock paddles you are healed instantly. You are invincible unless you're hit with an Eryx. You are invinceble to EVERYTHING else including knives and sniper headshots - I got about 30 headshots on someone with the SVD but they just walked over and zapped me.

Please make sure to note if the server is using the "no vehicles" setting or not.

Notice that with infantry mod the carrier has only 2 piece of 5-man boats for 64 people. I'm glad its beta only...

Bug: You can take damage but you are instantly healed when you switch or have your shock paddles out with medic kit

Re: 1.4 Feedback and Error Reporting

I patched using the incremental, overview:

Shock paddles cause invincibility to anything but an Eryx when playing Infantry only after using the incremental patch. The health bar goes down a few bars if you are shot but then automatically fills again.

                        Already the mistakes have started
Colin or Indianscout for the love of bf2 would you please agree a set format for bug reports. Something like

                        CPU
                        GPU
                        RAM
                        Soundcard
                        Patch Type
                        Event
                        Source
                        Reproduced Successfully?
                        Evidence

                        include criteria as needed
Leeham for example should post again using a similar format
