Yea, I think some places released the 1.4 patch as the leaked version that came out 2 weeks ago...I would repatch the full 1.4 from a trusted site like ea's.

For me, the new patch has fixed the CTD problem, but it created another huge problem. When I am in my account screen and am looking for games to join, as the account server is pulling up other servers that are online, it usually lists about 50+ servers then stops searching. The little window that says "retreving servers" never disappears and I have to stop search to remove the window so that I can see and select from the 50+ servers listed. Of the 50+ servers, only a few of them are playable; most of the servers listed are highlighted in red as being uncompatable.

This is very odd being that I used to be able to retreve a list of thousands of servers. I completely enjoy playing Karkand on a 64 player server, but as of today, I am only able to play on 2, 64 servers that I do not particularly enjoy.

Does anyone know how to fix this because if not, I won't be able to enjoy BF2and this will pretty much force me to not play BF2 anymore.

It almost sounds like you installed the wrong patch and there are only a handful of serves playing an older patch. Probably not though. Try a complete reinstall and repatch.

Event: When trying to refresh with 'no password' filter enabled, no servers come up. Even that without that filter applied lots of servers with no password come up when refreshed.

sorry, I just posted a new thread somewhere about the same glitch where no one could be killed with kits... It was a No Vehicles server, and the only thing that killed 100% of the time was stationary guns in the map. We played thru Mashtuur and Karkand like this. It happened to everyone in the server...

I see the changelog includes NOTHING ABOUT FRAMERATE PROBLEMS. SCREW DICE/EA.

8. Sometimes you would have infinite ammo, you didn't even need to reload, just keep shooting

Somewhat correct, ammunition is never truly expended with this...the clip fills back up and no hits register with the server at all

Grenades, AT mines, claymores etc just disappear

Patch: 1.4 beta 2 (full or incremental, tryed both)
Event: I get kicked without a reason.
I mean .. sometimes I can play without problems, other times I get kicked without a reason after 1 min or 2 min or 3 min .. etc (in the same server I mean)

PS: This problem has been experienced by 2 friends of mine too.

I hope Tuesday the new patch will solve this or I'll get in a bad mood :P

OK TIME TO VENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For the love of god get a new patch to fix the damn CTD, Yesterday I crashed 4 times. I goto join the game, It crashes, So then I goto join a new game I hit update servers and it crashes, Finally in a game LAGGING like no tomorrow which I never got in previous patches then shortly after I crash. So I talk to some friends and 8-10 people that I talk to crash atleast 2 times a day.

Ok, time to reboot your damn PC maybe?

I checked in today to see if EA had fixed the freakin patch yet.

I didn't want to install 1.4 after all the bad news about it.

Please remove snipers from the SCAN, Whats the point of sniping/hiding if the commander can spot you anytime.

Make The commander only place artillary/vehicle drops when a squad leader asks for it.

These 2 changes are a MUST and will make the game
way more enjoyable.
