Re: 1.4 Feedback and Error Reporting

I still think my thread sums up 90% of the problems in bf2 and what it should be like, and it isn't listed here.

Oh well, Dice probably won't consider it anyway since it is what the community wants, not necessarily what they want.

        Feedback

Running the below system specs and 1.4 Beta patch seems to run ok but on occassions get a big ole lag spike, still tweaking vista to my likeing. Had small lag spikes pre 1.4 beta/vista.

Graphics look alot better with my specs. Have to do some digging and find the command for the in game FPS.

Played one round of the new map looks good had no isuues.

        Couple of things I noticed

        1. useing the Vista build (5385) is I haven't CTD once (knocks on wood)
Lost connection to the server a few times due to the server crashing.

        2. BF2 seems to load a little faster along with verifying Client :)

        3. Bug Caplocks won't work in game re-aasigned to a differnt key.

Event: Clicking on ribbons within the ribbons section of BFHQ still doesnt give the selected award info. And newly earnt ribbons do not show at all in this section. This has been broken for awhile now. Medals and badges work. Also SF BFHQ still is not aware of the EU medal, you added it to regular BF2 BFHQ, but forgot to add it to SF's BFHQ.

First I start with a fully charged vehicle drop bar

Then I click the Vehicle Drop button and drop a car, but *gasp* the bar is still full!

Next I proceed to drop a second DPV, which depletes the bar.

And with that there are two DPVs sitting in the desert:

In all 4 screens you can see that I am the US commander because in the top left mini map the flag to the far left is blue, which is the US main.

            Yay, my first glitch!

No, but that's more than likely because all the servers had 250+ ping.

No need for my system specs, as this is feedback, not a bug report. The new map is nice, would have liked to see it a little brighter after all the gloom from SF, but oh well.

The prone to standing motion is absolutely horrible. Seemed like a full second before you could move after getting up from prone, and you can't shoot. Might as well have everyone line up, and put on bright red jackets with muskeets.

I'd like to second this, I've had several CTD's just clicking the Join Server button, no crash log however. I would like to add this happens the second you click the button, not after the map has loaded.

Except...I never complained about it. I'd rather be able to freely move, and be a good enough shot to kill the prone spammer/dolphin diver/bunnyhopper, then have the game dumbdown to a level of incompetence, not unlike Super Mario Brothers.
