Just a thing, parish, may i reccomend that you edit out the laid and everything past that point part, as that is inaproppriate to the 12 year olds that waste their lives looking at this frum. I'm just tellin ya the mods might find it inappropriate.

I will risk it, but appreciate the input. I trust the mods will know sarcasm when they see it and if they feel the need to edit my post it is well within their rights to do so and I will respect it. I just do not take to unwarranted personal attacks that well from people who have no cause to do so.

Yea, i guess, i'm just hoping all the 12 year olds don't know what getting laid means and p*rn (only putting in asterisk so mods won't get mad at me ).

you two are taking it a bit too seriously, then again i get really really frusterated myself sometimes but... public servers, key word is public. you are bltching about people who probably arn't in a clan playing the game for, well, themselves (who else?). even people in clans dont do everything together i find too.

sure its awesome to have great squads and commanders and they DO bring results, but dude, your complaining about people who won't even read your post and probably don't even know this site exists for that matter. yeah, teamwork owns and thats why i hate playing against a team full of clans m8s. but its not fun when you have seasond players who play together (how about practice?) facing off people who don't play together and probably a few noobies too.

where has this gotten us now though? your just frusterated from a game you probably played 5 minutes prior to posting that statement. if your team blows, simple solution. switch teams or LEAVE. done deal, problem solved.

Yea, teamwork helps a lot, and teamwork doesn't mean a revive fest of medics either. Anyways, i usually don't switch teams, as my favorite servers all have auto teamswitch for every round, so everybody on the MEC team becomes USMC next round and vice versa.

and yes, i've played on a few servers with the auto switch and its really cool because even the ppl who owned last round may not always own the next round.

one thing i did forget to say though is the whole reviving thing with medics. for me anyways, sometimes i DONT KNOW if the 'bad guy' is dead and i only have less than 15 seconds to keep you a$$ alive so sometimes i dont kill that guy who wasted you... but then again most of the time they've moved on and are killing someone else.

once again though, public server, CHILL.

Too many people get pubbing confused with competitive gaming that involves actual teamwork. I learned that awhile back. If you get a room of 64 people, most of them not even old enough to buy alcohol, then of course the game is not going to go the way you want it. That's 64 people that paid $50 to have fun however they please. Keyword is fun.

So let me get this right... I'm an a$$hole because I like to win? My teammates enjoy the support of someone who actually helps them accomplish a goal and that's bad?

Is there something wrong with being a winner? I guess maybe if I were looking out through the slit in the burger re-heat trays at McDonalds, I might be jaded like you. Alas, I have a good income, 2 beautiful daughters and a smoking hot wife. I guess having nice things and being successful is a bad thing to someone in your station of life.

Also note, winning in BF2 has nothing to do with getting laid. That happens anytime I want it and is the benefit of all the other things I do in the real world. I don't spend time "punching the clown" in the bedroom with the lights off to the soft glow of internet porn as you do.

the auto switch, yeah i play with it all the time. i thought he meant auto switch as in switching individual players around each round so every round is different. i know i've played on a few servers like that.

My OP was not because of a bad round on a server tonight, it was bourne of the overall feel I have been getting from hopping around to different servers over the past few weeks. It was also not out of anger, but more morbid curiosity trying to find rhyme or reason to what I had seen.

I have been sheltered in that I very often play with my clan mates. We do often play on public non-clan servers when our server is not busy and full of people. I was on the same 3 or 4 servers all the time and got to know the crowd and we all got pretty tight on tactics and style of play. Then I hit any server I could get my hands on and was astounded at the lack of style and finesse the players showed. It was all out pandemonium and no one seemed to have ANY idea of how to play the game. It was all lone wolves and no teamwork everywhere I looked. It depressed me as I enjoy the game for what it can be, not what others have made it.

I am a little different player. I got my kicks while playing in a weaker team. It feels so much better to win a round when opponent is clearly more skilled. Capping flags in the rear, playing sniper, ambushing opponents with claymores, those are my way of playing. I never quit enjoying luring enemy to my claymore trap.

I have 4 friends who are playing with me most of the time. When we play a real squad action, we use teamspeak to communicate during game. Common communication channel for squad and common language are two basic thing that really needs to be established before proper team action is satisfying. Game voip sucks really bad, and therefore the whole idea of squad based coordinated attacks in public servers are just nice day dreams.

Other thing, grow up man, ur taking heat quite easily. Or is it your key to "success", stepping over others, being the loudest fellow in the table and being always "right" in every matter...

while i totally agree with you when it comes to service support. combat support is very nessesary and without combat support, assault wouldnt go far. so what do i mean by combat and service support you may ask? service support is ammo, health, revive, and repair. combat support is basically a term for the attack role. if the ultimate goal of assault is to capture territory, combat supports goal is to attack enemy elements that are in defence of that territory.

what i am getting at is the way that armor and air should be used, and the way infantry squads doing combat support can also be benificial. armor is not a flag capper, using it that way does not help the team, now if you have troops in the area that are assaulting with you, or you have a blank uav set up, it can be ok to cap with armor, but otherwise, you will just hurt your team if the enemy doesnt have to deal with your presence for any period of time. the same can be said for helis but only in an only option scenario.

base rape also serves as a form of combat support, if i ace the bird while its on the ground, it wont be attacking you any time soon. its prolonged infiltration of uncapturable bases that can be detrimental to the teams flag situation. also if it gets to the point at which the enemy has only thier uncapturable left, combat support helps the team contain and siege the enemy while assault elements can rape uncontested.

my point is that assaulting flags is not all there is to a successful team, dont get me wrong, i entirly agree with you that not enough people assault properly or at all. but the same people that arent assaulting, arent doing much of anything really, thats because they are either noobs or point whores like the medic situation you mentioned. every class and every vehicle play an important role in this game, it takes a while for some people to grasp the effective usage of certain tactics and when to abandon those tactics when the team needs help.

yeah true say. i like to play with my buddies too, because of tactics and also, a bigger reason i am beginning to feel, is communication. I find it much easier using xifre, ventrillo or ts for talking without pressing down on keys.

but your original post did kind of sound like someone who just got all PO'd and wanted to air it out. but who cares really, the point is teamwork owns but you can't expect it on public servers.

but i still have fun. as long as im rolling in those pts and got a nice K/D ratio, im happy.
