and in any case 5 of the guys would have run under your hummer (-20 for tk's + punish) , 8 would have run away because that's whta you're supposed to do when wounded and faced w/a medic, and the rest 7 would just stand and spam "enemy boat spotted" over and over again .

Medics need to be toned down in some way... but not like this. Their weapons are too good, should have given them SMGs.

Now im going to have to whore a bag for myself instead of healing my squad. If this is true and goes in effect in 1.4, i think im gonna start to work for my other medals... i wasnt going to work on getting expert combats in any other class cause i dont like to play them as SL. Now that they may do this in 1.4, im gonna have to do something else to make BF2 enjoyable, maybe quit altogether and play PRMM all the time... Nice going Dice, intro something we didnt ask for

1 question: Your squad gets wasted by a lone PKM'er. He's in an ideal spot for his actions, but you notice a critical flaw.. you are squad leader, and your squad mates report that the closest one to spawning is 5 seconds away. NO squadmate has been "killed", they are just critically wounded. Do you:

a: attempt to take him out all on your own, knowing that the next back-up squad mate is at least 5 seconds away from spawning on you..

        or

b: wait the 5 seconds, rally your squad mate to attack, exploiting the flaw in the PKM'ers defence, and instead act as a diversion?

        or

c: wait for all your squadmates to spawn, and tell them about the flaw, and try to scissor maneuver your opponent?

        or lastly,

d: Attempt to revive a fallen comrade?

I'll post the conclusion once a few answers have been posted.

Nerf, with respect to gaming, means to diminish or make less an ability or tactic.

In this example, to 'nerf medics' they are supposedly going to limit the number of medic packs dropped.

I agree with the nerf with the accuracy bonus while prone - there should be a delay before you get the bonus.

I agree...why not boost other classes instead of nerfing good ones. Poor Engineer and Assault need some loving.

My biggest complaint is why do they focus on stupid $hit like this when there are so many more bigger problems out there. I mean Dolphin Diving is a huge problem, but who the hell has complained about too many heal bags around? And just how the Hell am I supposed to rise through the ranks if they keep taking ways for me to do that away?

Playing a support role is what I love about this game, I've never been a mini commando, I always played engie in 42, or when I was a medic I wasn't one of those little Rambo wannabees I went around and healed the good players.

Oh well, if they want to alienate even more people than 1.3 did they're going about it in the right way. If this happens in 1.4 since it is a beta I'll be making this view clear to them.

It's not like we can drag you out of the way.

I don't revive to get points, I revive to help out my team, and because I like helping people. I love hookin up with a group of 4 or 5 soldiers in an informal squad and rushing a flag. They run in and secure the area while I take cover and maybe provide some sniper fire with my L85. If they succeed in taking the flag I rush in and heal them and bring any ones that died back to life. I repaired so many vehicles and healed so many people in 42 and what'd I get for it? a "Roger that!" on the radio. That was it, and I didn't care because I was helping. Now, I'm happy I get points, but that's not my primary motive.
It isn't like you can drag them outta the way, but at least you can do me a favor and NOT REVIVE ME. If you read my post a bit closer, MOST medics go for points, think about it, do people go into armor to help their team, no, they do to get points, do support guys run quarter way accross the map to resupply you to help the team NO. Most people go for points. You, my friend, have good intentions, most people, NO. THey think of reviving in line of fire as a great way of getting points, as it's revive, revive again, then revive again etc. Anyways, i say i pick option c. for Mr. Benis's question. A is just stupid, as then your squad can't spawn on yoiu and such, and a PKM prone at close to medium range is deadly compared to everything you got. b. sounds good, but you as a diversion may be bad as if you get killed, they can't spawn on you. C. is great, you kinda flank him and kill him. D. is bad cuz most of your teamates got killed in line of fire, even if you revive one and one gets to safety, the chances are, you aregonna get killed by the PKMer, so not worth chance at all.

Re: The support/Medic bag nerf..let the whining begin.

Well, reviving is a cheap way to get point, and help my team mate out. I'm very happy that I do either of two. And I believe most ppl are the same. There's nothing wrong about getting some points by reviving IMO.

I think it's the weapon of medic should get nerfed. Medics are totally overpowered comparing with assault class, since GL sucks and armor helps little. The rifles of assault just have NO advantage. Equipping medic with SMG wouldn't be such a good idea to me, cause they do bring rifles in combat in reality. But how about reducing their ammo and shorten the sprinting distance,or make them unable to self-heal.

Agree, the G36E is the most accurate full auto gun next to only the carbines, and yet, it still does more damage than the M16 the assaulters have, and is also more accurate. The medic doesn't deserve such a good weapon, as now everybody uses medic.

The G36E isnt the god-sent weapon everyone makes it out to be. It's good, but not THAT good. I have more success with carbines than I do with the g36e, and that's saying something.

It's pretty good but I'd only take it over the M16. The AK's are better IMO.

Same, i am somehow (dunno how), suddenly pwning with the G36C pretty easy. But still, the G36E is still the most accurate assault rifle out there, add that with self heal capability, and eas point whoring capability (revives, healing, oh, and did i say revives), then the whole class becomes overpowered.

I have an idea. Make healing something like reviving, instead of dorping first aid bags. So the medics cannot heal themselves without finding another medic. A medic would need someone to help but not operate on himself alone if himself is wounded in reality, right?
So the medics will try to avoid gun fighting, and focus on helping their mates, which is what they supposed to do.

And leaving each medic 1 or 2 extra mag would be enough I think.

Yea, only 1 or two mags for the assault rifle seems good, and i like the no self heal thing, but that would be REALLY hard to implement into game, as the game cant tell apart your own dropped med bags, and your opponents. So we could always just go to NO dropping ammo bags, and only standing next to people to heal them or heal yourselves.

a medic needs to be able to kill just as well as other people, else they cant clear out enemies and revive their team mates.
stopping a medic from self healing would be silly as well, since no one else bothers to give u a medic pack. but then it does annoy me when i snipe a medic and he heals himself, a damage boost would sort that tho. but can you see when people think about nerfing things, its swings and roundabouts, do something to things and it affects something else.

It would be better if they could just have your teammates kill out the guys, and then have the medic revive. Anyways, yea, i hate self healing medics that i snipe, anyways, yea, whenever people want something to get nerfed or buffed, then after that is done, everybody just goes on complaining that they are too accurate, or not good enough.

I mean totally remove the first aid bags thing. And add in something such as injection to make up healing. Then there would be any first aid bags everywhere, but people crying "I need a medic!!" as they really do in real combat.

And reviving should bring in no point; the revived guys have a minimal health bar, then the medic have to heal the half dead comrade to get in point. Say good bye to infantry-murdering G36E-equiped medic squad.

What do you think? Yea, a bit too complicated.
