Screw that server, if there bi**hes like that. I hate admins/people like that, it just completly p*sses me off. I'm very sorry to you and I feel bad for that clan that they have to kick a challange in the game. Unless they made a mistake(Not beleaving that). I would go to there forums and fill out a complant and if they don't do anything, fill out a complant direct to EA, you can do it on the forums of EA Nation.

    Good Luck...

You really should read the full post before you post a response like this.

Repeated Spawn killing, IMO, definitely falls into this category. This category, specifically, is left open to intepretation. If someone is repeatedly killing players where they spawn, they're exploiting a game mechanism, don't you think? We do not allow or encourage repeated killings at specific spawn points.
No, spawnkilling is not exploiting! It's part of the game and you are whining because you are a victim of spawnkilling.
You were not skilled enough to hold a flagpoint or simply to confused to choose another one to spawn at and so you said: lets kick people who are killing us.
The rest of your posts is completely irrelevant because you can't defend your inability to admin a server the right way!

Not mis quoting, I read your post. I just quoted what I guess you saying rather then going back over the post. If I wanted to make it look good I should just used the quote funtion. I chose not to.

Either way several people are here and have had a bad experience on your server. It seems you want to clean it up, and thats a good thing. Regardless of all that for future reference that spawn killing rule is probally where 90% of your admins make mistakes, or just plain old don't care.

What I meant with the quote was to merely show how you presented yourself in my old words, close enough to yours. If I came here and posted and imediatly just assumed that my admins were the best, and would never kick for no reason, then i'd look like an ass. The simple fact is 30 admins, anyone of them could kick, and then probally do it more often for unfair reasons then you think or know.

Again, it's really best to read the entire post before you reply, especially if you're going to personally attack someone. I wasn't even in the game at the time.

I wanted to clear the air about my server, and that's all. We've had problematic admins in the past, and I try my best to keep our server running smoothly. Fact of the matter is that the person who was temp-banned yesterday has been warned and kicked numerous times in the past. He was temp-banned this time around, and it was for spawnkilling (although reviewing the logs, he could have been kicked for language, too). We have the right to enforce a spawnkilling rule, and as I said it's only enforced when someone is blatantly exploiting spawn locations, and hence stat-padding.

Most of the responses here are inflammatory, so I'm going to bow out of here now ... If any of you want to contact me directly to continue this conversation, please do. Our server isranked in the top 100, if you want to swing by and check it out, please do.

            Cya out there.

Again, i can see comming in for a minute or 2 to lame it up, to get the idiot out of you, and can especially see it to sit there, and support your ground troops while they cap it.

              But for the whole round?

I cant believe the mentality of the folks here.

              Sad, really.
If your team allows an attack helicopter to strafe and rain down death on a flag all round while constantly respawning at that very flag to get maimed again and again and again for 20 minutes without perhaps, now call this a mad idea - outside the box - Hell! I'm a maverick - taking to an attack chopper or even a jet of your own and engaging that enemy chopper then you deserve everything you get.

I see absolutely nothing wrong with so called 'spawn killing'. Do you suggest people in an attack heli wait for a bit while a newly spawned player stretches his legs?

[GU]LIZARD - understood, and thanks for clarifying. I didn't mean that it's not possible that any given admin can be abusive, what I meant was they're all trusted and follow a strict set of rules. We've learned from our mistakes, and a number of us review our chat and daemon logs on a regular basis. We remove admin privleges (or remove the person from the admin program altogether) if anyone is abusing their power, in any way.

Exactly. I registered here yesterday because of what I read. We've worked hard to clean up the mess left behind by others. But the sh!t that's happened in the past is just that - in the past. We can all play on one of thousands of servers... You guys can play on mine or not - that's your choice. You have an open invitation to play on our server, and you all have my contact info in case if you encounter abusive players or admins while you're there.

Thanks for reading ... I'm out.

Re: Kicked for massive chopper ownage =[

                        Time for another funny story!

I was on a Gulf of Oman server in the USMC AC. I was doing my usual pattern of destroying every vehicle in sight from flag to flag until I ran out of targets and went for the enemy helipad. At this point, I was very high over it and decided to swoop down for some hellfire damage: they were going up exactly as I started firing so, in haste, I shot them all and pulled to go back up, but it was too late... their carcass got me :P

The admin decided that I was purposefully ramming based on that one incident (ignoring all the other times I took him down) and kicked me despite being 24-1. I was ****ed, but what can you do ? I'm thinking the admin didn't like the competition and saw a way out of it...

Clearly, all I was trying to do was figure out what exactly you were getting at. I am sure those bad admins of the past are gone, but it doesn't mean they can't still exist. There is thousands of servers. People like me randomly pick them just by player amount and the map its on.

I kind of keep my regulars. You know the servers that are good enough to come back to, but most people would want players to enjoy and want to come on their server. Sure theres tons of servers to join, but for people to remember and want to come back to your server is something you should want.

Personally I've never played on your server, but I can already tell that spawn killing rule is kind of upseting. Even if by chance a player did follow this rule, do you know how hard it would be not to kill the same person as they spawn in? Especially if your Infantry, or in a tank. Just think you were trying to capture the point and were holding off a group of infantry guys with your tank or helicopter even for that matter, but your team couldn't move in enough, and you kicked that helo just trying to help his team. There are many other spawn points, and that spawn killing happens to everyone. Many times i've spawned and died. Its nothing to get upset or even kick for. It happens.

Thats just my two cents on that. I don't know what happend but the guy in the first post looks like an innoncent player. That rule is very uncommon. The common one is don't rape uncapturable bases. Yours just says don't do it unless you've got all the flags. So I can see where a lot of players may be kicked. For misunderstanding that rule, which like I said is very silly.

The idea is, that you rent a server, but do not give yourself admin rights.

It's the most fair way to ensure a good game.

And if an admin plays up, well, you being the server OWNER can always just tell him to turn tail, right?

BTW planewhore.. you're aware that someone was recently bagging out your..... straferight somethingerather server, right?

If you die instantly a couple times at the same spawnpoint, i recommend selecting a new spawnpoint...
