Don't get too worked up about it. Chances are it will happen again. There seems to always be that one admin who is having a tough day, perhaps a victim of this ownage, and decides to pull the plug on you and your pilots fun.

This is why stats in this game I feel are overrated. It's those goofy server admins like the one in question that control gameplay on their server. I always chuckle when the tables are turned and now the admins are the victims of such ownage, and how promptly they resort to the kick or ban stick.

What's good for the goose is good for the gander.

Hence my point about the stats. Server admins can manually restrict the skill level of players entering a server. If they wan't you gone, they will do so in an instant. Sure they are paying for the server you are a guest on, but that doesn't give them the right to be a smack tard does it?

      Anyhow, keep your head up.

yea but if you wer circling the base and shooting them as they spawned its spawn raping and if i was constantly dieing because i had no chance to hide or shoot u down i'd of kicked you to. happens alot and its not skill, skill is a completely different story to shoot them when they spawn

Not sure if the claim that you've worked hard to weed the trash out of your clan is completely genuine. In fact, I'm sure some of the people who were involved in orginally banning me for "Cheating"/"Being a smacktard"/Planewhoring/Switching teams or whatever the hell the excuse - still exist in your clan. Fact is BlackOps is going for be forever maimed by the horrible admin abuse dealt out on the server, you'd be better off disbanding and reforming under a completely new clan name and hope nobody notices.

          Warning: Rants incoming!

It's beyond me why EA strayed so far from the general idea of a ranked servers abiding by a certain code of conduct, rather than just let the admins do whatever the hell they want. That's the whole reason I started playing ranked servers. Can't blame EA after all, it does make perfect business sense to sell horribly overpriced ranked servers with the lure to the admins that they can have their own little power trip and use the ban/kick functions to help pad their stats.

Speaking of your server in particular, what a horrible set of rules.
Actually, the fact that you don't allow "spawnkilling" is just about the most retarded server rule I've ever heard of. A better term for it however is "spawn suppression", and it is the primary goal of snipers, tanks, APCs, planes, and helicopters when assisting a flag capture. Often times I've found these stupid rules are selectively enforced to provide an advantage to the admins clan. For example, I'm on a server with a "no baseraping" rule in effect. But what do you know, I see the admin cruising over our carrier dropping bombs on the deck and strafing them with cannons. Hmm, I didn't realize you could capture the carrier. Of course, I was fine with this because I play like a real man, I grabbed a jet of my own, shot that newbie admin down, and then base raped him right back. Next thing I know (and as I expected), banning XXXXXX for baseraping!. Sad sad sad .

I'm getting pretty sick and tired of all of these inane rules. No XXXXX server I don't want to go to your website and register at your forums simply so I can memorize your 20 page rule book just so I can play. EA should have a set of general game play rules that must be ADHERED to at ALL TIMES by all servers NO EXCEPTIONS! Spawnkilling is fine, raping the uncaps is fine, using a vehicle as much as you want is fine ect.. ect. Don't like it abusive admins? Too bad, get an unranked server and stop crying. And of course if any server or related admins should violate this CoC even once they should have server privileges permanently revoked. I started playing ranked servers for the fair play environment they promoted more than anything, but now they're nothing more than playgrounds for people with more money than sense who want to go on their own little power trip.

On that final note, I'd like to endorse StrafeRight 24/7 City Maps 64 player server. No stupid rules, and a staff of very fair admins.

Re: Kicked for massive chopper ownage =[

I agree 100% with that. Took the words out of mouth. I've played on some pretty bad servers. The worse problem is, instead of just clans its now single people renting the servers for themselves and banning anyone an everyone.

Of course this rule probally isn't enforced if your on their team rape and helping them win. I gurante someone from the other team says one word about it being a rule it'll be ignored. Infact I doubt they even enforce it when the other team is doing it, until one them is killed by it that is.

I've never been one to just go into a main base and rape, unless the other team has all the flags, which increases the bleed on the ticket thus ending the round quicker. I've ran into various servers where the admins will be on AA and shooting up at planes, and been kicked for killing them when they shot my plane with an AA missile, just because I killed him in the main base.

I've been kicked for killing an admin who was trying to get a badge, and he felt it was right to tell everyone he was trying to get a TOW missile badge. I believe that earning a badge is more apporiate not kicking people who kill you while your trying to earn it. I've been going off in choppers on SF and been kicked just because the gunner(admin) wants to fly, and the reality of the matter is he can't fly, nor kill anyone.

Things like this happen everyday. Its funny that the admin came here right away and wrote "hey he couldn't of possibly banned you for no reason, we cleaned all that up". Just sad that it gets this bad.

Today I've joined several servers, one was on my favorite map levithan. I was going off in this server I had top score, was doing real well. I even had a gunner who would use the tv missile. It was awesome. No more then I hit top score and the other team about to lose, the server crashes. I joined another one only to crash to the desktop after loading. I joined an armored fury server just to freeze up when I got into the little bird on road rage. I joined a dialian plant and got kicked 'for stealing vehicles' at this point EA can blow me. Its bad when the coding of a game locks up your pc, and causes CTD's. Its not that hard to make a stable patch, modders make stable mods, why can't ea make a stable patch! This may sound like I went off on something else but in reality all these issues + the abusive admins can really take up alot of your time.

We were on that server yesterday, our own commander kept putting arti on me and strega cause he wanted to and we told the admins in there, there. They didnt do anything but talk back like true internet tough guys...rofl. Server is fun to play in but admins need more work.

First things first - something is screwey with punkbuster... you were banned by an admin (not Pyroskab, he's not an admin) for the following reason:

Spawn Killing - Kicked too many times before for me just to kick again

You were absolutely NOT kicked/banned for "massive chopper ownage". I don't know why, but when we kick for custom reasons, PB does not show the message to the client properly. My admins do NOT kick for anything besides a violation of our server rules. And regarding the "stacking" of teams ... anyone in a clan knows that you're in a clan to play with your clanmates ... same with us. If we're "stacked" and absolutely owning, we almost always switch sides to even it out.

I don't want to bore you guys, but let me explain a couple of things... BlackOps (or BLKOPS) today is not what it was six months ago. At the end of last year (oct 2005 - early jan 2006), we had a number of inidividuals in our squad who were complete a-holes. Some of these guys were admins as well. Back then we had less than ten admins. We slowly discovered that probably 50% of them were bad apples. These were the jerks that would kick you for "getting in my heli", or "being a smacktard" or "hacking" or even if you were just plain owning them. Let me assure you that every single one of these motherfvckers are no longer associated with BLKOPS. As a matter of fact, we trimmed the fat and deadwood and sh!theads from nearly 60 members down to twenty, and now we're back up nearly 60 quality members.

We recruit only quality individuals. We no longer recruit based on skill, we recruit based on consistency of character. We kick the bad seeds out as soon as they start to display any type of negative behavior. We now have nearly 30 admins, each of them trustworthy, and each of them pay for the privilege. We have no problem kicking members out of the admin program if they are not following our code of conduct.

To those of you who have had bad experiences in the past, I personally apologize. I can all but guarantee that any bad experience you've had on our server happened during the timeframe I mentioned above. If this is not the case, I'd like to hear about your personal experience.

I encourage every one of you to come check out BLACK OPS 1 (64.69.47.107). We pride ourselves on creating a positive gaming experience, and providing a fun environment to play BF2. Our admins are very very active, and very fair.

A handful of us have worked very hard for the past six months to clean up the huge mess left by former squad members. Our squad numbers are way up, we've got an large number of admins (at least one of whom is online nearly all hours of the day), and we have a full server almost 24/7. Give us another chance, or come try us out for the first time. We run a tight ship and you'll have fun.

And Churrasco, I'll definitely see you on the battlefield.

Well who ever was in there yesterday was being a real A-hole, our squad was getting Tk'ed left and right by our own commander cause "he felt like killing us" And we asked to have him kicked and all we got from your teamates was "STFU' "STOP CRYING" "STFU NEWB" and so on. so that means you need to sort out more bad apples.

Can you tell me what in-game name you used while on our server (and the approximate PST time)? I searched yesterday's logs for Hypnosis and Strega, but found nothing... I'm assuming you were on the correct server, but ours is BLACK OPS 1 at 64.69.47.107 - there is at least one other clan out there with a similar name (black_ops). The tag my guys use in-game is BLKOPS

Can you also give me names or partial names of the admins or other players that were being pricks?

                      Thanks

Misquoting ... neat. To paraphrase, what I said was that we cleaned up our gene pool significantly and that our admins don't kick for "ownage" - they kick for violation of our server rules. I also said I'd look into the logs, and that's what I'm doing this morning. The admin in question wasn't even in the game - he was watching via bf2cc. To say that "the admin got p!ssed so he banned you" is not a correct assumption. The admin banned him because he's been known to spawn kill, disrespect other players, and use foul language directed at other players. This admin decided it was time for a *temporary* ban due to behavior past and present.

Regarding our spawn killing rule ... We don't allow spawn killing (repeatedly killing players at any given spawn point). That doesn't mean you can't hover and kill guys that spawn when trying to take a flag... we enforce it more like you can't lie in the grass with a sniper kit and *repeatedly* pick off people from 200 yards at a *specific, known spawn points*.

PlaneWhore, if you have specific info regarding abusive admins or players on our server, please email me at roymunson@bf2blackops.com - I'd really like to know who you're referring to.

I know our past members have caused a lot of grief ... believe me, I know. But that's not how our server is run anymore. You can choose to believe it or not. I hope the nay-sayers and haters give us a chance (or another chance), but I know there's plenty of servers out there to choose from. If you do come to our sever and run into any idiot BLKOPS members or abusive admins, tell me about it because I'm serious about keeping my squad clean and fair.

Thank God, I finally had a decent pilot, and I was doing really great, downing almost all targets I shot at. As you can see by the shots (got a promotion BTW) I am clean:

By the moment had 130 points, the admin, with no warning, kicked and banned me:

                        What is pretty stupid, because:
                        1. I was not flying.
                        2. It was not an uncappable, and we were trying to capture it. I just mowed down people that spawned to secure the flag.
                        3. I've never killed anyone in the carrier, althugh by their rules I could when we had all the flags.
                        4. I was not cheating.

Can anyone kindly connect to their server, and give me their website link so I can contact the admin:
                        64.69.47.107:16567

                        Thanks
Is it me or is that what the attach helo does, provides air support for ground troops. Seems to me the admin was probally killed by you several times and said, "enough of this jerk!" By hats off to you. It is not all that easy to kill soldiers runny around like crazy with a small aim of fire.

Let's not confuse this server with TPG. TPG is my favorite of all the servers I play on. It is run by awesome guys who only kick/ban people for worthy reasons. And they are cool as hell to kill with.
