Actually it's just bad.

In regards to the SCAR-L.

I totally agree, that gun is garbage. Its based off an assault rifle, has a large'ish caliber round and somehow is less accurate than an MP5 at range... witha laser-sight.

I hate that gun and wish I had never unlocked it.

The red-dot is on a bad guy's forehead 20 yards away and Im prone.... and I miss 6 shots in a row, single-firing them. Thats just crazy.

I think the Eryx/SRAW is overrated as an infantry killer. Many will argue that being able to hit someone at far range with an Anti-Tank missile is skill, I argue it's stupidity and noobiness.

Agreed. However there is an advantage most people overlook. When an infantry is killed by an AT rocket they can not be revived.

I don't know about overrated, but the G36E is certainly used to death (pardon the pun). Most of the medics I play with/against use it exclusively. And while on the surface it seems just like an M16 clone, fact is the recoil is much more steady on the G36E. Notice that when you single-shot the M16 the gun has a tendancy to kick to the side, while the G36E kicks straight up, and this trait is consistant during burst-fire mode as well so the second and third shots of a G36E will be right above the first one making for easy three-hit chest shots or two chest + one head shot, whereas the burst on the M16 will cause the second and third bullets to kick to the side, which will often make them miss. Plus the G36E does two more damage than the M16. So it's not really overrated. OverUSED, yes, but not overrated.

2 points more damage, not enough to justify 3 shot kill (assuming all shots land on chest), anyways, the M16 has very little upwards recoil, but a lot of sideways recoil (hence it is 0.1-0.6, first number signifies verticle, second signifies horizontal recoil). So i kinda agree with you on the recoil part, and DEFINETLY the overused part. And i agree withthose who say the SCAR-L is just bad, it's got bad accuracy (second only to the AKS-74U), does less damage than the AKS-74U, and stuff like that. SCAR-H, on the other hand...
Also, the QBZ-97 is underrated, it's up there with the G36C.

L85A1 is so underrated!

I am so good with that gun... you just shoot 1-2 shot bursts.. if you have good aim, you will get them with a headshot on the 1st or 2nd shot. The reason people don't like it, is cause they go full-auto and expect to hit something! Even at 1m you need to burst fire. It's a gun for someone that can aim good though... def. not a spray-n-pray gun



Overrated - L96A1

M24 is the best sniper... no bullet drop.

That POS sniper has bullet drop even at like 100 ft!

Are underrated. Just force yourself to play as them, get to know them and you get good at them. Plus I think it's more fun to CQC with an SMG than a puny semi auto shotgun

Are totally overrated. I mean try playing PKM in knifing distance close quarters, now that's where you wish you had something with the ROF of the MG36. Try playing very long range with teh G36E. It may be accurate but you just can't see the target many times. That's where you'd like a scope, which voila! A gun does, and it even comes in the Point Wh0re kit, AKA the Medic!

Actually, it is pretty tricky to hit people with that rocket... you know, being the fact that people don't stand in one place and can actually dodge the damn rocket before it hits them.

Hell, I've see an AT rocket coming straight for me, and I went prone with it flying over my head.

Plus, when you miss, you've got that bitch reload (it's more annoying when you're going up against a tank or an apc, though).

Don't get me wrong, though. I enjoy shooting people with a gun more than I do a rocket... but it comes in real handy when you're having a shoot out with a sniper or someone who is just in an inconvient place, that only a rocket would hit him/her... or if you don't have any ammo in any of your other guns and you don't have time to reload one of them.

Simply the best gun in the game. You want one-shot-one-kill, this is the rifle of choice.
It's the only rifle that I consistantly run out of ammo with because everyone I shoot has very little chance of seeing me and getting a few shots of thier own off. I then find it hard to get re-supplied so usually get killed looking for ammo. I've only recently unlocked it but it has certainly taken me back to sniping as much as possible.

I agree with whoever said that the Chinese and American shotguns are underrated. Those things are beasts, it just takes stealth and some skill to get kills with them. The Jackhammer sucks, for all its automatic firepower, even firing semi-auto, it does less damage than it's PLA and USMC counterparts.

pistols are horrible I had the L9 the AWP sniper rifle hit a guy in the chest, which takes him down to 2bars of HP took out my pistol shot like 6 bullets at him 3 hit and he didnt die.

You do know that statistically, it is the EXACT same thing as the M24, the only difference statistically is that it has a 1 sec shorter reload time, so it's only really worth a unlock if you consistantly play MEC or PLA.
