Overrated and underrated guns

What guns do ou think are overrated and underrated? For me:
Overrated:
G36E, you can't go on a map without at least 6 people using them, not that much better than M16 in reality
G36C, it's an amazing gun, but people still make it sound better than how it actually is
F2000, i dunno if it's still going strong, but back in the 1.2 patch and pre-1.2 patch days, it was used so much because it had a scope, and did enough damage to kill in 3 shots

Underrated:
G3, even after the accuracy was upped, it was still underrated and underused
M16, great overall gun, even with burst fire, doesn't matter, 900RPM burst is good enough in CQC against 600RPM full auto
MG36, my personal favorite gun, it's kinda overshadowed by PKM and other guns (G36E)
Pistol: Actually very accurate, and standing, crouching, or proning doesn't affect accuracy

G3 is definitely underrated, no question about it.

Though I must disagree about you about the F2000 and G36E. They might be very popular, but for good reason. Both guns can be seen as overpowered, and both are VERY good at what they were made to do (kill people).

I think the Eryx/SRAW is overrated as an infantry killer. Many will argue that being able to hit someone at far range with an Anti-Tank missile is skill, I argue it's stupidity and noobiness.

I can only write knowledgeably about the M16 and G36E. Although I think the M16 is one of the better assault rifles, I find the G36E to be better all around. In my experience, the G36E is just easier to shoot accurately and for some reason, seems to knock people down more quickly.

Most underrated: Vehicle mounted .50 cals. I constantly blows me away that people often don't even try to shoot down choppers with these handy 'ol dealers of death. Hell, I've put down planes with those suckers.

Ditto. ... .. Those ground defence + mounted machine guns also work wonders at times.Remember to duck those sniper bullets.

Back when I used to play Special Forces class all of the time Scar-L was my bitch. But now it just feels too "cheap and flimsy". Sure it's strong but the aim on that mother is whacked. My favourite gun is the MG36.

Nah man, don't agree. That's what you do to kill long range targets. The guns you get with AT class are useless at long range. So whenever you see a stationary guy proning from far away, you shoot a missile in their face.
That's perfectly ok and it's skilled cos assuming that you know your gun won't do the job.
It's the guys that prone like there's no tomorrow and then are surprised they get missile in the face that are the noobs.
It's so easy to avoid a missile, just run and gun and wait till he shoots his missile.
Unfortunatly noone knows how to effectivly run and gun or use cover anymore these days with the prone fest going on in BF2.

Think about it though, the G36E is BARELY better than the M16, but people treat it like a great gift from god or something like that. And the F-2000, ughhh... terrible scope imo if you wanna long range snipe people (rather use ironsights, the scope doesn't give any zoom anyways), it's less accurate than most of the assault rifles (basically all besides the two AKs) and actually sprays worse than all of them (look at dev added pers hot and max dev), the savior is flashbangs, though not very effective, better than the smoke nade other assault guys get, and you get 2, but that's all. Anyways i would also agree that teh AT rocket is a bit overrated. And i would also agree that people are too stupid to run and gun to avoid rockets now cuz all i see now is proning G36E medics. Oh yea, also, havn't played SF xpack in a long time, but in the time i did play, the SCAR-H was kinda underrated.

I don't know about overrated, but the G36E is certainly used to death (pardon the pun). Most of the medics I play with/against use it exclusively. And while on the surface it seems just like an M16 clone, fact is the recoil is much more steady on the G36E. Notice that when you single-shot the M16 the gun has a tendancy to kick to the side, while the G36E kicks straight up, and this trait is consistant during burst-fire mode as well so the second and third shots of a G36E will be right above the first one making for easy three-hit chest shots or two chest + one head shot, whereas the burst on the M16 will cause the second and third bullets to kick to the side, which will often make them miss. Plus the G36E does two more damage than the M16. So it's not really overrated. OverUSED, yes, but not overrated.

Underrated: PP19 and MP5, both rock in CQB.

Underrated:
USMC and PLA engineer's shotgun. One shot kill.
Knife. Another one-use kill weapon.
Assault M-16. Very good accuracy, and you have the noob-tube to compensate for the lack of full auto.
The Scar-L and G3 also do not get the respect they deserve. I love the Scar-L, and the G3 would be the best rifle in the game if it had 10 more rounds in the clip.

Overrated:
MG36. Not really an upgrade IMHO.
