Are you f*cking kidding me, they got actually accurate LMGs (not only when prone), guns only accurate when ironsighted, sniper rifles that actually do 1s1k not only on head, sniper rifles that are actually accurate, no bunnyhopping, speedproning etc., frags that actually do damage, smokes that actually do something besides create lag etc. Anyways, it's pretty pathetic if you can't make it past basic training lol. Anyways, basically everybody in BF2 will get their ass whooped in Americas Army, because, guns are REALLY accurate (like the M16), there is no running up and going rambo, if people play americas army like they play BF2, they die FAST.

Ground humping or leap frogging, became very popular within hours of 1.2. Basically all it is is a player hitting crouch>prone>crouch>prone. It does make it harder to hit him as it throws off the hit box.

The dolphin diving never went away, except maybe in the pubbing community. The delay from prone to jump was simply bypassed by hitting the crouch key. Again this was easily figured out within hours of the 1.2 release.

My only surprise is that it took this long to be noticed in the ranked servers.

Bunny hoppers and dolphin divers aren't about to change with another patch (unless EA, for some odd reason, has a realisation that they need to IMPROVE the game *gasp*), so you can stop complaining and just deal with it. I'm with you, I hate them too, but the only way to get em is just kill them and know that you just owned somebody who thought they were good at the game because they can go prone in the air.

          Re: Are these hacks?

To the OP, please don’t make any more threads like this one, because it’s potentially damaging to the game. DICE actually reads this stuff, and if enough inexperienced players make posts like this they might decide to further gunk up and ruin what was once a great game (and is still pretty good).

Once and for all, it was never Dice’s intent to make a realistic military sim. To see that for yourself, load in version 1 of the game that came on your disk and go online and play. Yes, servers still exist and people still play that version. Do you know why? Because it was the best/most fun version. If you do that you’ll see people dolphin diving and BHing, nube toobing and chucking c4 and having a hella lot of fun doing it.

That was the game. You were supposed to kill 30 times and die 29 times.

People seem to think that by whining and crying they’ve gotten Dice to “clean up” the “exploits.” No way. You can still do almost all of those things in the game today, except its harder now. It takes experience and skill, or an expensive keyboard with the right macros. It’s a mistake to think that whining got the game simplified for inexperienced players. Instead, the patching created a big gulf between the skilled and unskilled. That is, btw, further evidence that DICE wants what you call exploits to be a part of the game, so that players always have skills to learn and a reason to keep playing.

I agree that if you go on a server with extremely skilled players (or players with good keyboards), they will kill you over and over and over. The answer? Don’t go there. Servers run the gamut of experience levels. It varies from session to session, too. Find one that fits. And you’ll improve.

If you want to play a slow game with tactics and teamwork where you have to check your corners and angles twice before you crawl a couple feet forward, I would recommend (as others have) America’s Army. But don’t hurt this game anymore. Please.

Hmmm I agree with you. I play unpatched, and I love it (I tried to download the patch but it didn't work). There are a still a lot of smacktards on unpatched, but not as many as 1/3 users seem to describe. Only problem is that you end up playing the same people every time, you never really get any new opponents.

Yea, then again, me+MG36 is super anti-bunnyhoppers and pronehoppers, it fires fast, and it fires at least 70 rounds before overheating, more than enough to easily kill the n00bs.

Yeah and you and your kind most propably fast forwards a movie because then you know what happens in the end before others do. That is correct you know it before, but then again it is a fact that you don't understand a thing about art of movies.

When a unique way of killing somebody is discovered it is usually exploited and hated. Thats just the game.

When I do take out the kids that "prone hop" fairly easily I'll get the always welcome "You're hacking". HAHA somebody is being cheap trying to kill me and when I kill them they call me a backer.

no way- I kicked your ass the ol' fashioned way: with a gun and clickin' on yo head.

Why don't you go play America's Army instead?

The only thing remotely realistic about this game is the in game models are detailed to look like their real life counter parts.

                    Let's start here:

                    1) I can parachute as many times as I want, even after I just got done parachuting 2 seconds ago.

                    2) I can do the worlds lowest parachute opening at .5 feet off the ground and still live, even falling from 800 meters.

                    3) My wrench can fix anything in the world.

                    4) I can knife your feet through a wall

                    5) Hey, my feet are sticking out of that wall, cool

                    6) My runway will fix and reload any plane with any load out in the world just by flying over it

                    7) My UAV gives real time overhead radar readings to my minimap

                    8) My crate can fix, heal, resupply anyone and any thing in the world

                    9) Even though I have been shot five times, I can still run at top speed

                    10) My fighter jet is confined to flying in a shoebox

                    11) So is my helicopter and any other vehicle or person

                    12) When I die, I won't go to heaven, I'll respawn with the proper kit

                    13) Friendly landmines/c4/claymores will alert me to their presence

                    14) My medic bag will heal you of that gut shot you took from that DAO

                    15) You've been shot in the head and lost 90% of your brain matter, but I can fix that with a defibrillator

                    16) I'll drive, fire and reload that tank all by myself

                    17) Same with any other vehicle that needs a crew to operate it

                    18) I'm Houdini, watch me disappear into this wall and pwn you.

                    19) I can magically spawn out of my squad leaders ass

                    20) Feel free to add, I know I missed a few

                      21) I was just shot by a M95, oh well, *puts down medic bag* all healed and ready to go.

[if you didn't know, the barret M82/M95 are known to rip off peoples limbs, torsos, and other body parts, and also leave an exit wound the size of a basketball]

                          Those are definately not hacks...

It's easy to kill people that do that, because they have the SAME path every time... just look the first time to how high they go, then look at the direction they are going, next time they're in the air.....BAM!

If you can't do that, it's not them.. it's you!

Search the forums for the thread "Somebody Give this Guy a Medal!" and you come up with a video of your worst nightmare. People are literally bouncing off the ground on their bellies they do it so well. They are like frogs.
