Is it just me or are the number of servers with loser admins out there increasing? Perhaps all the good admins have moved on leaving us with, well, abusers. I've been kicked lately for some pretty lame reasons.

Oh, and tonight there was a squad camping on our uncappable base. When we told the admin "there are base campers". His response? "nope." wah?! I got sick of it and left the server. I'm just a little frustrated at the quality of admin I've been encountering lately.

I can relate, out of all my favorites only one of the servers is actually run by admins who practice fair administration and actually employ policies that make sense.

******* admins are just on powertrips and feel special about themselves when they get to abuse that power.

I agree with you. In fact I applaud admins who kick "griefers" who TK or are disrespectful. I ask that you be fair and consistent. Kick a regular who behaves like an idiot, too.

Oh absolutely. I cannot stand it when a person feels that just because they might be a regular that they can act like they run the server. The most important thing to any clan tht runs public servers is to maintain the quality of gameplay. This is of utmost impoortance because quality servers will usually always attract quality players.

If you think BF2 admins are bad you should try joining random servers on CS. Actually, that's probably a bad idea. I've ran into servers with admins that "slow hacked" players configs just for the hell of it. Kids these days...

Perhaps camping the uncappable main is allowed on that server, after all it is part of the game.

Some admins are just dumb. They think they need to keep their server G-rated. Which is dumb because you're playing a game that is all about killing other people for no reason other than to say YEAH 2 POINTS! or get stand next to a flag until yours raises up.

What's the worst is when admins kick for cussing. I mean don't you guys think it's humorous when you hear about someone getting kick for that, when inside the game the guys voice cusses. Like when you say sorry to someone, he saids "D@mnit, sorry". Anyways I just think it's stupid.

I make a point of not playing on servers that allow uncap r-ping.

For the record I know the difference between 1) destroying commander assets, jacking the armor and running out of the base with the cannons blazing and 2) parking a yourself (and/or your squad) on an uncappable flag and racking up kills. The first one is part of a fun game. The second is just a lame form of stats padding.

I've had 9 kicks and no bans since June 11, 2005. None recently.

I got kicked for the 1st time ever last night.. It was on some German BF2 Special Forces server called Hafeneifer or something.. I was playing there with some friends, we just joined, the map was Ghost Town, there were about 24 players in, and I was 'spec ops' on the Spetnaz side v SAS.. I went on a solo-mission with a jet-ski to the SAS base to destroy the commander assets.. I blew up the UAV and Radar in a completly empty base, then I stole the tank that was just standing there to take with me on my escape, I didn't see any enemies this whole time.. When I was driving away over the bridge I saw an enemy attackhelicopter coming back to repair (it was smoking), I shot it down with 1 shot, 2 kills, I drove away into town, mission accomplished, good start after just joining the server..

Next thing I knew, boom kicked, without any warning or whatever!! It said on screen some admin kicked me for base-rapping.. Huh??

I think he probably was in that helicopter or something, and he was pissed I shot him down with a tank coming out of their base, I have no other explanation..

Offcourse my friends were asking what happened (we use Teamspeak), I said I was kicked by some ******* admin, and they also left the server, we found another server where we continued to play..

So yeah, I guess there are some stupid admins arround.. But that's nothing new, you'll find them in any online MP game.. It was just a first for me in BF2.. Most of them are ok..

definetly. ive been playing for about a year but 12 or 13 of my 16 kicks have been within the last month or so. imo the crappy admins are killing the game faster than the bugs and exploiters combined.(for pubbers like me anyway)

Today I discoverd 3 man statpadding in a server I was playing on. Than I realised that they were the admins lol... they were repair point farming by turning the boat upside down. I hunted them down all the time even when they hide behind the carrier they managed to get 11 repair points anyway :/
