Re: When do you zoom your weapons?

    I pulled those from http://wiki.bf2s.com/weapons/

    Could be out of date(?).

(I have the objects_server.zip from 1.12, 1.2, and 1.3 on my PC.)
You sure? i updated to 1.3, is this the right directory: C:/Program Files/EA GAMES/Battlefield 2/Mods/bf2/objects_server/USLMG_M249SAW

Hmm, interesting, teh date stamp says 2005, which is WAY pre-1.3, ok, something is screwed up, wht the hell is wrong with my tweak file?

EDIT: yea, my stuff is out of date, G3 still has min dev of .5, which shoulda been fixed.

The F2000 is great for that. I use zoom all the time. It takes no time to use, since it's right next to my fire button and i have 2 fingers on the mouse. One on fire and one on zoom. Works very nicely in any fighting situation.

I'll zoom in pretty much all the time even in Close Combat its a habit of mine as well. But when an enemy surprises me when they come from around a corner I usually will just use the crosshair since I wouldnt have enough time to go to the iron sights.

See, the deviation mod when zoomed is what you're looking at, which is 1 for the support guns (all other guns have a number of lower than one, meaning you gain a deviation/accuracy benefit in from zooming), and the recoil mod for zooming is .5, meaning it will recoil half as much when zoomed than it would unzoomed.

            Edit:

It doesn't add anything, those are modifiers (if it helps, think of them as multipliers). So basically, if a gun has a deviation of .5, for example, and a deviation mod of 1 while zoomed, it would have a deviation of .5 (.5 x 1) while zoomed. If, on the other hand, it had a deviation mod of .8 while zoomed, the total deviation while zoomed would be .4 (.5 x .8). So a recoil mod when zoomed of .5 means that you take the base recoil for the weapon and multiply it by .5 (essentially dividing it by two). Basically it means it has half the recoil when zoomed than it does when unzoomed.

Now the numbers make some sense.
            Revert to Zooming mode.
