Can someone tell my how Vehicle drops was a good idea? They only did it to copy Quake wars guys...

I'm a little sick of having to watch the skies for falling vehicles...its just ridiculas.


About the chopers, they're not problems anymore...Its about teamwork guys. If a sector is getting pounded by an attack chopper....have a team of guys shoot it down. Problem solved. Same thing with base rape. Tank sitting on the spawn? Take care of it instead of wasting your time typing "OMG he's base raping us....call the admin!"

Actually, from what I remember, vehicle drop has been coded into BF2 since day one.

To be honest. I buy all the booster packs. I patch and there are some not great things like the new squad rule. but i still love Bf2. To me its jsut a game and i think every patch while there are some problems overall fixes alot of things.

You know what was a great game, I hate to say it but anyone play Socom 2 for the PS2? If BF2 emulated this game a bit more, especially now with the recent patch, it could have been great. Sucks that there probably won't be many more patches because of 2142.

I quit this game about a month after release, and have returned just two weeks ago. The game is still a great game. It's a well paced, skill based, modern army shooter. That's what you signed up for. It's not without its problems, and I agree that the first things that should be fixed are things like desktop crashes and red-name bugs. However, trying to balance the game by fixing missles, squad movements, and adding things like vehice drops shouldn't be miss-inturpretted for avoiding fixing bugs.

i can agree with some of that^^ but sum things have helped e.g. vehicle drops. in huge maps a jeep can be handy if ur stranded in the middle of nowhere. although they shud have forseen ppl using them to take out arty.
one thing that does annoy me on the subject of them scraping it for every penny is wen they advertise stuff. this includes this, this and much more.... it dosnt include any more so y do they say it does?!?! they cud take a few lessons from valve. steam>EA downloader

the main problem i think DICE have is that they are trying to cater for beginners and pros when that cant be done. beginners want it easier, pros want it harder.


wat do they do?

make the game easier which attracts more ppl?

make it harder to keep the pros interested in the game?

What do I want BF2 to be? Fun & stable, with tons of active servers online.

I'd like all the things that make BF2 unfun to go away. Bugs, cheaters, smacktards, admins with Napoleon complexes... we've all got our pet peeves.

It would also be nice if people on the forums stopped turning every thread into an opportunity to bash each other, but that's just whistling in the dark, because if nothing else, the Internet seems to bring out the worst in people.

i would love....

1) very innacurate guns
2) very easy to kill a preson (1-2 hits)
3) louder gun shots from around...
4) more DoD like combat...going prone and getting up takes a few seconds
5) a large storyline where we can have like a map of the middle east and they would give us like 40 maps to play on and there is a battle going on 24/7 on everymap and u can just join a server and fight

If guns don't work, sounds like reverting to knife and pistol fighting.
And I'd get incredibly bored pretty fast.
