The reason you can't understand why people praise the DAO so highly is simple: You're not an AT guy. Simple as that. You don't fight tanks. Of course the AK is a better overall weapon then the DAO. But I want to see you take out a tank with the 101

I've had my good share of kills against assault classes. It is imho not true that any competent player will put any DAO guy down first.

Then again, the ol G-36C and C4 combo works wonders as well.... But then again, the carbines are way weaker than the DAO, but much more accurate.

it seems to have taken more shots to kill a guy then previous patch.

DAO is great in the right hands, just like any gun. I have over 100 hours with that gun in my hands, and you can own with it. Use terrain, hills, buildings, cars, vehicles, EVERYTHING to get up close and then let them have it. Making yourself get up close trains you to own with other guns as well. After I got my expert A-T badge, I started working on medic hours, and it seemed so easy to kill with the assault rifles, because I was getting up close and letting them have it as usual. DAO for the win.

DAO was my first unlock, I'm an AT guy, still love it. Basically you have to learn how to charge effectively. Get good enough, and you can even take pot shots from a little bit of range, but not very far. It can be fired very fast.

It's a must for the AT kit, the biggest upgrade. The peashooter is very lame.

On the subject of other AT weapons, isnt the Chinese AT machine gun the worst piece of sht in the game? It actually sounds like its firing BBs

I use it on every map.
The trick is to charge the enemy with your weapon, and get as close as possible.
Do NOT stay back with the DAO, and do NOT givethe Medicà/Specops the time to take aim at you....

The other good thing to do, is let them come to you if you don't have a chance to get in close (to much distance and open area in between you). Alot of guys get greedy and the moment you pop out of site, they will get up and come to you. Step back out and lay waste to em.

Looks like a world war two greasegun/sten gun kinda thing (made rom cheapo parts). Anyways, nice to see you IVfluids (the one who proved he found the one-hit kill tank spot).

idk..when i get into very close combat my fps drops to below 15 and the dao is pretty much useless since my shots dont register that great anymore, but if i had a great computer,....the dao would prob be the best close range...just need to learn how to control its recoil and voila..u got urself a man shredder
