The areas are marked using F35B HUD. The spot around the vertical line tip is for HORIZONTAL (non-dive) LOW ALTITUDE (Below 100, usually somewhere close to 50) CRUISE SPEED (around 900 KPH) drop.

The area above it is for descending approach, up to divebombing angles, at any altitude, even 300. Suggested angle is about 30-50 degrees.

I'm going to try this out. It sounds good, I wonder if anything has changed since the pictures I looked at waaay back then on that dead link I posted. It was at lleast 3 patches ago.

However, you do mention the F-35 specifically...it is the damn F-18 that always gives me problems and never seems to be the same as the others.

is there any way to change to third person while in a jet
like in 1942 u could switch to flyby and alot of other veiws...?

Yes by using the keyboard key "c" and clicking it several times for the desired view. If you had a joystick (a must for jets, I just got mine.), you can program the buttons under options - controls - aircraft.

Depends what you're bombing too. If you're bombing hardened targets like tanks/apcs/grounded or low choppers, you should dive steep and try to make both land in one spot. If you're bombing a flag with scattered infantry, dive and level out and then release for more damage spread.

The bombers in vanilla BF2 (SU-34, F-15, Chinese one I can't remember the name) are ten times easier to successfully get bombing kills with than the Armored Fury bombers. The AF Bombers are total pieces of sh** in terms of handling and having no boost. So, If you really want some training, go and try getting bombing kills with those Armored Fury planes. Then come back to vanilla BF2 and bombing will be cake.

Correct, thats what I call "anti-armor" and "anti-infantry" bombing. Ones a concentrated punch and ones similar to carpet bombing.

People have said that F18 has wider bomb spread, which hasnt been much of a problem for me, but thats probably something thats affecting your siccess in drops?

I used the F35B after I discovered that my horizontal drops landed spot on while I aimed with the tip. I then started experimenting. When I finally got to these 2 spots, I marked the screen with a marker, and used other jets. So basically, Im not using the HUD, but these two boxes (i have boxes, but stripes are just for less painting on the screen).

Divebombing, in my opinion needs more skill and experience, aswell as knowing the plane. It also needs a lot more knowledge on how to lead.

Horizontal drops are VERY easy to do, and if done with the right technique, just as good as dive drops. Problem with horizontal drops is that mostly its just one bomb that hits, but I personally use single drop anyway.

Besides, who has the time to go all the way up, 500 feet, to knock down a tank, when he can do it in a single fast dro anyway, and then pull up to safety?

In my book, they are both good, and I personally use both of them, actually 3 of them. I use horizontal, descending and dive drops.

ya know... to be honest... I don't know how I do it. The only thing I know is that I rape whomever decides to be chillin' on the ground.

Then again that kinda stuff I pick up easy. I picked up this whole game fairly easy (I crashed my stats early but I didn't care).

If you're after infantry targets you could always pop them a few times with your cannons Makes them feel like they got singled out.
