    Pilots get abused so badly

I am a pilot, and a good one at that, but something that puts me off is these idiots who stand under the F-35B and when i point the thruster toward the round people jump up into the landing gear! and i get a tk, also people use AT rockets to blast hovering jets, i am not a jet whore, if someone has been waiting longer than me and has good skill i let them have the jet, but these noobs who can fly and end up in the sea after takeoff keep getting the jets and stop pilots from helping on the battlefield, don't fly for kills , fly to support your team and take out possible threats to them. Sorry for this little rant but i think TK's on runways should not count, anyone else agree?

Welcome to BF2, I've had around 200 tk's in total from idiots standing or jumping ontop of the jet. All I can suggest to you is find a well admined server that don't put up with that crap.

That is the only solution to your problem, or play on city map rotation servers.

        Do something else besides fly.

Every time I hear about the horrors of BF2 it inevitably occurs in or around an airstrip or ACC. If I didn't read about these things occuring, I would never know they happened, because of how little time I spend at these places.

Sometimes it sounds so foreign to my BF2 expereince thus far, I feel it must be exaggerated. Is Tk'ing for aircraft really this common?

Sometimes the most intense battles are held between friendly players for jets and choppers. BF2 is a vehicle based game, and thats where the real action is

            Yes it is that common:cry:

Most of the time it is the jet hores that do the TKing so people like me who can fly well but not too good at bombing or useing the cannon cant get the practice in to become a great pilot:cry:

              Geez,

I'll just stay right where I am. Cowering in dumpsters and hiding in bushes, emerging to battle again once the skys are clear. I've only got a few hours in, but I can't recall a single TK for a ground vehicle. I haven't seen one, nor been a victim of one.

I suppose if a TK limit were set they'd jump infront of your aircraft, right?

I'm not suprised, the weapons that take the least ammount of time to gain the most advantage useally attract the shallowest of players.

I've only ever seen it happen once myself, though I was capping the airstrip on wake at the time while my team mates were arsing about fighting over the jet on the runway. Ground Pounders of the world Unite.

Incidentally, there's nothing sweeter than talking out an enemy jet with an AT rocket. Especially a second after they've hopped in in full expectation of blanket bombing noob pwnage.

                  What a friggin moron.

                  #################################################

Chris, I don´t know why you are calling him moron, he is right, some of the shallowest players in bf2 are the ones who want to fly, not everyone is but a big percentage is.

And every m8 of mine that wanted to improve their stats started to fly, so yes, Jets are the best weapons in this game, and yes jets are the easiest way to get gold medals and chunk some points.
If jets weren´t the best weapons in this game there wouldn´t be so much tkiing for them.

                    Take some Ritalin will ya.........

I didn't say all players who fly are shallow, I just said it attracts the shallowest of them. I'm sure there are many fine pilots who are team players, and abhor the behavior that occurs on the airstrips. But by admission of these shenanigans by pilots themselves, even in this thread, I believe my point is proven beyond a reasonable doubt.

Time in one game, doesn't mean inexpereince in online gaming my freind. It doesn't take genius to figure out there's a distinct advantage to flying over not flying when it comes to survivability. Even for the least experienced of pilots this holds true.

While most weapons platforms have reasonable counter measures these balances are less in aircraft. As they should be, but in the BF series this dominance has always been taken to a fault. Thus the attraction to the shallow players. Get off the ground and you can do alright.

Least ammount of time, most advantage, shallowest players. Notice this-

Jets are NOT easy, if they were easy, then every one of those uber-newb pilots would be scoring 100-0. Like everything, to master jets, it does need experience, practice and will to maintain the skill level. And this is exactly what is needed to be good on the ground aswell. Not just jets. It irritates me how people put something down they have, let me quote

I've only got a few hours in, but I can't recall a single TK for a ground vehicle.
limited hours in them. Just because birds fly with ease, doesnt mean you can flap your hands and start flying just like them.

I agree, its easy to maintain skill level. I got a few rounds going after a few months of break, and it was easy to get back where I was. However, when I remind myself the effort to get where I was, I wouldnt say it was just "snap and go", especially when all those so called "easy point scoring new pilots" are nothing but cannon practice. Alternatively, I get my ass whooped on the ground because I dont have much practice in it. And although the concept is simple (point, click), I aknowledge that reality is far from it, being simple that it.

So all that generalization, moreso, baseless assumptions that jets are EASY and that shallow people use it with no effort and score major points, are nothing but flamebait, made up by shallow people, just shallow in a different department.

                        So freaking true.

This truly was the case with the v1.0 Blackhawk.

                          Classic, yet so stupid.

I didn't say all players who fly are shallow, I just said it attracts the shallowest of them. I agree somewhat on the "shallow" part. But you would be stupid and inexperienced to believe that flight in "easy" in BF2. And you admitted yourself that you have limited hours in jets. You know, you really just compared yourself to the same "shallowest" players you just mentioned, because they also agree, even if they are wrong, with you-

least ammount of time to gain the most advantage

Thats where they go, take a jet, bomb the uncappable, crash somewhere and spawn back on the carrier, TK for a jet and go for another "easy" ride. They jump in that jet, fight for it because they believe its easy. Its simple. Its effortless. Yet they have absolutely no impact on the team, and they crash whenever they hear a missile lock warning. Not only are they a waste of time, some of them are very arrogant. And some of them come to the forums post up how easy it is to score 2 points for every death in a jet... Talk about being shallow.

Time in one game, doesn't mean inexpereince in online gaming my freind. It doesn't take genius to figure out there's a distinct advantage to flying over not flying when it comes to survivability. Even for the least experienced of pilots this holds true.
Totally correct. But does it take minimum effort to kill in a jet, than it is with a tank? Or with a rifle? Somehow, from my personal experience, I wouldnt think it really is that simple. Again, its relatively easy for an experienced pilot, because most of them have mastered their area of expertise, but the exact same applies to masters on the ground! Just sitting in a jet and killing one infantry unit with a LUCKY drop (yes, they mostly just miss), isnt easy, its just lucky. And as for survivability, the moment theres an experienced pilot airbourne, youll feel the impact of flight being "easy".

While most weapons platforms have reasonable counter measures these balances are less in aircraft. As they should be, but in the BF series this dominance has always been taken to a fault. Thus the attraction to the shallow players. Get off the ground and you can do alright.
Well, from what Ive seen, and what has made me laugh the most, is how people in armor, and even with just guns, score far more than people in jets.
I believe a jet, is a score multiplier. Its not easy to use, but it rewards more than a simple infantry player. However, just as on land, a player in air, cant do jack****, if he doesnt have the experience, nor skill to use the power of the jet. Dropping bombs is a matter of a click. Shooting a gun is a matter of a click. Dropping bombs on a target with a hit, thats something that counts, and same goes for ground combat. While all players can be successful in almost any area, people assume, that jets will lift your scores by themselves, thus making them useless, and yet TKing their teammates. So yes, jets do attract shallow player, totally agreed, but are they "easy" to use? The failure of majority of new pilots, to utilize their power properly unless bombing last hostile flag, relying on blind luck, is proof.

The Blackhawk disease was feeding off "me me me" syndrome. Teams getting their asses kicked by BHAWKs deserved to be slapped. In the same time, when I was in a jet on the opposing team, or in an attack chopper, I considered them my duty to take down, while people ran around with medkits... What Im trying to say is, shallow people were spanked by shallow people with bigger guns, and the same shallow people got it nerfed.
