And the most important tip of all - kill the guy that just killed your guy before you revive him.

I die a lot when I am a medic. But I dont leave men behind ! If they are by me I go in and try to heal. If I die and they live oh well. Atleast I am not useless to the team.

Medic's priority is to heal and revive, then to kill. Too many medics now adays will never revive you and play like assualt, only getting kills. And the funny thing is, most people like that can't even get too many kills. So why be medic unless getting badges? Why be a useless medic?

EG is this vid of me playing, near the end. I revived a team mate, seconds later someone mowed him down with a shotgun. Since the enemy player was busy firing at the guy just revived I was able to kill him then 2 more enemies and revive the guy again.

I welcome any medic to revive me any time any where, I don't care if a tank is facing me. If you fast enough you can get up and sprint off.
I can see you are my type of player! Moves fast, point earner, Blitzkrieg style medic who uses everything in his inventory.

Yup this is me too, a badass medic that can rack up a lot of points very easily in the right conditions.

It is always +2 for each revive.

Sure what you say sounds right. But here is another case where it was usuful not to do that.

I just spawned, there is a dead guy in front of me. I have no idea if enemy is. In front, behind, or are they even still alive? I revived the dead guy. Enemy gave away his position. I killed him and revived my team again after he was shot down. Then I took out the other dirty spawn camper.

                  Vid here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0pMxvblGNJ0

Also there is a time in this vid, where I revived a team mate when there was a couple enemy solders in front. Hard to confirm but it looks like he took out at least 1 of them before dying (the assault guy lying prone with the G3) - I did not shock paddle this guy.

                  Vid here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PDFWd-KhYIw

For reasons like these, I will continue to revive my team mates in most situations, and I hope others do as well.

It might be a good idea for EA to implement a system where dead team mates can only be revived if they call for a medic. This would stop people whining that are too slow to get out of situations commonly determined by them to be inescapable or pointless to be alive in.

For those who think the L85A1 is all high and mighty i believe when i read on "the numbers behind bf2" website thing that popular to the belief that its the most accurate it proves to be not with the worst prone accuracy ratio of all the assault rifles and its accuracy is only better than an AK for the first 4 or 5 shots i find through trial and error on servers this is usually tru...i will get most kills with that thing standing up when i use it in short bursts (since if u havent figured it out that thing blows on full auto) when i do use it but i haveta agree go with the G36E its a profoundly accurate and very powerful weapon though in close range combat i prefer to go with the L85 for its fully automatic capability but honestly its whatever ur tastes are

well with assault rifles i have 26,467 kills and 9,488 deaths with a ratio of 2.7895. Would be a lot higher if i only played strike at karkand though as i wouldn't get raped by planes, choppers, convoys of APC,s/tanks etc like on the other maps.

Click the sig pic below for my stats.

Agree completely...i want people to revive me where ever i am as most of the time i'm quick enough to get away or jump up and kill enemys around me. Its mostly the slow people who are complaing that they get shot again....they must be the players i revive and i see are still laying on the floor 2 seconds after...or start slowly crawling away!

If anyone is interested in how to play well as a medic i can post a battlefield recorder file of me playing on 32 player map karkand about 2 days ago. Think i got 174 points at the end of the round with about 43 kills and 7 deaths (3 or 4 due to my clan mate on the opposite team always trying to drop arty on me hehe).

                          Re: [BF2] Medic Guide

I like to revive from stand position. I works fine, just put paddle croshair on the torso and revive. You can do it almost just running by your mate.

One thing I have to ask. I just don't know how to get a grip of that L-85A1 rifle. One day it seems to work just fine but other day it seems to miss even stationary targets 15m away. One day you can hit proned snipers 100-150m away, other day you may pump clip after clip with no results. The gun just doesn't fit in my hands no matter how much I would like to like it.

Please don't post replies with "Learn to aim noob" or so, I have more than enough practise with this game and I'm more than good with the sniper rifles. I know how to aim.

Is there some spread pattern that I should take in count while using it, or is there other tricks. How about shooting pace, with what rate, you who master this gun, are using it when firing single shot mode?

                            Re: [BF2] Medic Guide

I have played a lot of Medic on both US and MEC side.

I spoke to another player about this as well. http://bf2s.com/player/43650170/

They said their favorite gun is AK-101 and when playing US they use the M16A2.

I know I have used the L-85A1 a lot and I’m sure BabySpinach has as well. But we have both determined that it just doesn't cut our playing styles.

It is good for long range single shot kills, but fails at close and mid range imo due to the recoil.

I would suggest getting used to the G36E/M16A2 or Ak-101 instead of the L-85A1.

I'm interested. I'm sure I could learn a thing or two, I may have played what I consider a lot as medic, but it looks like you have played a whole lot more, Stats own mine also.. :)

Yeah, lol. I've always wondered what they are doing, its as if it takes some players 5 seconds or so to catch on that they have been revived.

Ok here is the file....(will only work on patch 1.3 of course.)

                              Download Leki.bf2demo

file needs to be saved into My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\Default\demos\

                              or

                              C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\Default\demos\

My nick in game is "Leki][DowN" with a [TTP] prefix.
I was playing as squad leader through the game...not many funny things happened...apart from me leading my squad to the suburbs flag one time and then i shot an enemy guy going away from the flag which made me think it was there flag....took me and my squad few seconds to work out it was already our flag while we were sitting around it hehe. Got a nice road kill on an engineer and knocked his mine right out of his hands at the train station :) Twice ran into damn claymores heh.

Nice vid, I think you only died once from a gun from another soilder (G3). Usually Artillary / Vodnik / Claywhore / Nade.

Some great ownage with the G36E, I should really get used to that gun instead of whoring the AK-101 by going mec :)

I noticed one time in the vid you revived a guy in front of a couple enemy soilders. They were able to get up and kill one of em. Just further proves that it is these slow n00bs that are complaining about getting revived.
