Not to mention its the only kit well equipped to take out commander assets. And when you're in a tank war on karkand (all enemy armor vs all friendly armor) it's more than easy to sneak up behind those tanks and take them all out.

Right-on! SO is my favorite kit. I prefere my Tier2 unlock over the Tier3, I can basicly snipe with that gun! So good!:p

      Ok...

"The sticky bomb was more complicated. It was like a large toffee apple. There was a white tape that you stripped off, you then gave the bomb a shake and two halves fell away leaving you with a sticky toffee apple type bomb full of nitro glycerin. You pushed a button in the handle and then whacked it onto the side of a passing enemy tank, which in our case was an old iron boiler towed along behind a lorry. It was while practicing that a HG. bomber got his stick [sic] bomb stuck to his trouser leg and couldn’t shift it. A quick thinking mate whipped the trousers off and got rid of them and the bomb. After the following explosion the trousers were in a bit of a mess though I think they were a bit of a mess prior to the explosion. [Bill Miles, WW2 People's War]"

BF 42 had it figured out, people actually played all the classes because they were all usefull. The assault guns had some major stopping power and they were accurate.

Lately, I've come to the realization of something that has haunted me since the release of Battlefield 2 -- the misleading names of each kit.

Now don't get me wrong: Some serve their name well, but others are just flat out questionable.

Special Forces - Albeit being called "Special Forces", this kit does little to help you achieve the ability of being stealthy as someone in the Special Forces is supposed to be. First of all, you have a silenced pistol - hey, that's a plus - but once you realize that it takes about 50 shots to kill someone with it, you figure out that it serves as something to get you killed rather than to silently take out a foe.
Then you have the C4 that can only be tossed about 5 inches in front of you, meaning that to plant one on a vehicle, the person driving has to be a moron. If you have high hopes of planting C4 on a moving vehicle, you're in bad luck because it's very difficult if the person behind the controls has any experience whatsoever.

Assault - Perhaps the most useless class known to mankind? Besides the noob tube - which is decent, but not worthy of a decision to use this class - the "Assault" class is hardly something you would want to use for head-on attacks, or Assaults!.
The Assault class does give you a great assault rifle to take out enemy infantry, but it's not so fun once you figure out just how worthless you are versus any enemy vehicle what-so-ever; and then you must remember the fact that besides one lousy smoke grenade (yes, ONE! WTF?), you are practically useless when it comes to actually assaulting the enemy.
Why not give the Assault class anti-tank grenades instead of frag grenades? Just my opinion, although it will never happen.

Medic - Better than assaulting than the Assault kit itself! Shoot, kill, heal yourself, reload, repeat. Not to mention you even have grenades and a weapon just as good as in the Assault kit! WTF!? Major malfunction!

The Sniper, Support, Engineer, and Anti-Tank kits are all fine in my book, but the three kits above are the ones that I really think are just whacked up.

            Does anyone else agree? Disagree?

Please do not flame; just my opinions! :)
totally agree with you man, thats why almost everyone plays medic almost all the time

The weapon power fitted the classes better for sure, but they sure didn't make realistic choices. Assault soldier got BAR1918/DP1928, etc which in fact were support weapons aka light machine guns. Not something you run and gun with. I know the game isn't supposed to be realistic (and hey, 42 was a great game) but it would have been just as easy to beef up the Tommy and give it to assault.

I think snipers should be able to be invisable as well, just like Spec-Ops.

I consider Assault to be the best kit for Anti-Personel use. You get a worthless smoke nad but you get a high powered rifle and you can take a few more shots then a medic, and you dont have to eat dirt to shoot anything like you do as a support guy.
