thought, really what i think is EA/DICE totally screwed up in the first place with these kits. like it was said before, assault is pretty much useless when you can just be a medic. what they should have done was made sure that every class in the game had a critical function that isnt completely useless.
exactly i mean who wants a smoke grenade?its not like the smoke grenade can win a battle or heal some1.

Then you have the C4 that can only be tossed about 5 inches in front of you, meaning that to plant one on a vehicle, the person driving has to be a moron. If you have high hopes of planting C4 on a moving vehicle, you're in bad luck because it's very difficult if the person behind the controls has any experience whatsoever.
      Everybodies pistol sucks.

C4 is not for throwing, even sticky bombs (WW2) need to be placed.

C4 packs would get their wires ripped and recievers damaged by throwing.
The way thrown C4 packs could stick to anything was ghey.

It's not a sim, but it's still not realistic to expect to place C4 packs on moving vehicles.

ThIrD-EyE - the toob was nerfed not because noobs whined, but because with little splash damage it was unrealistically easy to pop around a corner take out a group of enemy, and take no damage.

New class - Jihad Taxi Driver.

Remember those little cars on DCX maps that played the Arabic music when you drove them around?

Bring 'em back as the primary weapon for my new class, the JTD (MEC only).

Weapon 1 = Really dull butcher knife for beheading prisoners.
Weapon 2 = Crappy old 9mm pistol from Saddam's days.
Weapon 3 = Fiat Uno or Volkswagen Dasher, painted white and orange. Two 155mm howitzer shells in the back, wrapped in C4.
Weapon 4 = Suicide belt around the driver's waist. Two packs of C4 with nuts and bolts imbedded. Jump out and detonate at the nearest checkpoint if the Fiat breaks down on the way there.
Weapon 5 = chant "Allah akbar" over and over on both the MEC and USMC radio nets.

PS - this is meant in fun, not seriously, don't call the ACLU and the Political Correctness police. If it's not funny, sorry. But it is funny, so deal.

Many thanks @ troybob. It's a good idea. I think I'll go download it tonight, because I miss DCX a lot, and I've heard good things about USI.

Re: Misleading Kit Names (Just a rant)

              My fav kits:

No1 Medic. Self heal, nice unlock (G36E), Nades, GREAT standard gun (AK-101).

No2 Support. Unlimited ammo, nade spamming deluxe, good accuracy (especially RPK-74), who needs unlocks?

No3 Sniper. With the L96A1 the sniper is a great kit. Great accuracy even when standing, nades, claymores. Except for really close combat I do everything else with it.

No4 Spec Ops/AT. They both tie at the bottom as crap kits. The AT kit has a pee shooter instead of a real gun (the chinese pistol is half decent), a rocket that requires 2 or 3 shots to stop a vehicle only so you can watch the driver run away..

The Spec Ops has decent single shot accuracy but other players can kill you with a fart. The damage of the Spec Op weapon is also crap. Nades are a bonus but considering you need to be so friggin careful I'd rather take sniper.

Oops.. Did I forget assault? The kit I have 150 + hours with? A standard weapon that's no better than the medics, no nades, a toy called grenade launcher and a smoke? Don't get me started on the G3, reload... reload and friggin RELOAD! After they nerfed the F2000 it sux.. The assault class should definetly not have a weapon that can hit something. /rant over

maybe medic's "should" have been given the AT's guns and AT guys given the medics guns i think more people would have been playing AT if it was like that, and medics would still get there points for doing there jobs

as for the assult class i like the idear of more smokes a longer stamina maybe HE (high explosive grandes) and the ablity to fix your bayonet (knife) to your assult rifle (maybe tricky with m203 attached :S) although i dout any of this will get done.

If you play assault and don't use the F2000, and aren't MEC, you should. The F2000 have accuracy, 1 shot headshot kill, almost as much damage as AK-101, and get 3 flashbangs. I've given and recieved flashbangs, and they always screw up the victim if the assaulter is quick.

ya im a little dissapointed that the c4 barley goes anywhere, but a lot of time in a 64person map of karkand i can sneak behind 2 apcs and blow em both up at the same time. The c4 works really well if you know how to time it without killing yourself.

In my opinion i think a snipers name tag shouldent show up if you point at them. thats probley how most snipers spot out other snipers, but i dont really know i dont really like sniper.

Ya i agree assualt should have somethign that can damige tanks, apc, etc just so if your being over run you can have a ''high'' damiging gun and some sort of AT.

Re: Misleading Kit Names (Just a rant)

I'd like to see, just once, a historic reference to sticky bombs. Before SPR, I never saw a reference to on in all the history books and from all the European theater vets I spoke to.

I wish they'd just Foff and die already.

As for the C4, You sorta have a point. They are a little too easy peasy to throw and blow, however they have been nerfed to a semi realistic level of distance. No more 30m+ super grenades. They suck for anti tank work, unless you are good at them.

But my favourite tactic was to C4 the tops of flags and wait for Blackhawk whores. Kaboom :)

I'm quite happy with the fact the Grenade's don't damage tanks/apc's but I'd like to see them damage the crap out of FAV's, Vodniks and Humvees. Maybe Heli's as well.

Keep the AT's with their missiles, keep the AT's weapons as is. Give assault more damaging grenades (larger blast for groups and more light vehicle damage) and change their name to "grenadiers".

                          1. IRL Medics might carry a pistol and a knife for combat.
Just remember this when you play as USMC. Marines in combat have Navy corpsman. So if you want to think realistically everytime you play medic as USMC you would actually be a Navy corpsman.

It's just a video game so it has to be playable and "fair" from all aspects.

I can't beleive how many people are trashing special ops. Definately my favorite kit, 300+ hours. scar-l kicks ass up close or at a distance. C4 can kill ANY vehicle if you know what you're doing. and with a silenced pistol other players cant tell where you're shooting from. Not to mention its the only kit well equipped to take out commander assets. And when you're in a tank war on karkand (all enemy armor vs all friendly armor) it's more than easy to sneak up behind those tanks and take them all out.

I do agree that medics are overpowered and assault underpowered.

I have a buddy who is a greenside Medic. What does he carry? An M-16. Why? Because he is a soldier first and a medic second.

Spec. Ops. Kit isn't just for any noob to play around with, yes it might have a gun, but there is much more to it. Pistols are as deadly as rifles if one knows how to use them, dont just point and click once and see if you hit something, point - click fast - and dont stop till you see the MF drop. There is also skill in C4ing, it might not be able to be thrown so this shows if you have skill. Putting it on a moving tank or apc as it passes only inches from you takes some practise. So, I masterd the Spe Ops kit, over 600hrs of it and top 50 Spec Ops.
