at first i didnt like it cuz it was so innacurate but then they upgraded it in a patch and its like...a killing machine...too accurate and too powerful in my opionion but i go like 4:1 kd ratios with it

Hell I fell in love with the PKM before they upgraded them. I was always playing support,( Free resupply points in BH, i was a whore) and I used the M249 and the RPK for close maps and the PKM for the long ranged maps.

On an off chance I had the PKM with me in Mashtuur and we'd hoofed over to the Mosque flag and two snipers were on the tall building at backyard picking us off. I tumped down the PKM, went DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA and got 2 kills in like 5 rounds each.

I used it exclusively for a while. My accuracy dropped from 25% down to almost 11%. I've finally got it up to 18.5% again. It was a wicked gun to play with when they upgraded it. Made it a true LMG and able to do supressive fire.

Now I toy around with the MG36 evey once in a while. I love the high ROF and the slow heat up.

But my toy is the M87-11 shotgun.

I just got my expert SF support with it. 46 kills 7 deaths.

IMO, if you can't manage a ratio of at least 6:1 you aren't doing something right.

and for anyone who looks at my stats, bear in mind that before 1.2 i had roughly 9000 kills and 5000 deaths as support.. now it's months later and lookey here.. 17k kills and 8000 deaths.

As for actual PKM/LMG kills.. 8600 of those are with LMG.. thats roughly half, and i remember havign about 1000 odd kills and 3300 odd deaths in patch 1.03.. see my rise? And i waste a lot of time with my pkm too, sitting in commander mode and whatever.

To put it lightly, PKM sucked before, became godly, and remained legendary.

Be a hero, use a PKM.

lol why was it too powerful ? because people could get 5:1 k:d with it?? do people really think it should take 1 clip to kill someone and then have a 1:1 k:d with any gun for a good game ?

the same people that dont like guns to have accuracy are the same ones that hate railguns in quake and ak47/m4 and awp in cs, because people that can aim will kill them quickly.

You know how they say you'd be lucky to hit the broad side of a barn? seriously.. do a fresh install of bf2 v1.00 then hack to unlock the weapons, and give yourself a refresher of why we have the guns the way they are now.

I shock paddle PKMers. There's nothing better than bunny hopping up to a PKM spraying nub and shocking him in the face or knifing him.

the pkm is for noobs unless ur like tele and used it the whole time.

they nerfed it so much that it can out snipe the L96A1 and the M24

ill only use it when someone whose ****ing me off uses it

also i noob toob when someone is pkm whoring

i like posts like this... when people say that using their favorite gun is 'whoring', and calling them 'noobs'. it just makes me smile to read these posts. :laugh:

Yeah, I shotgun them. I love seeing Kayback[M87-11]PKMWHORE.

It's fantastic especially if you need to take that second shot. Sometimes they are like WTF?! How come you didn't die ?!

ive played all versions, patch 1.2 brought the pkm to where it should have been in the first place, all the other guns needed a similar boost too. but it ended up as nerf the pkm back to being barely any use and keeping all the other guns lame.

My best round with a PKM was on Karkand, i went 75-14. i had found a nice spot on a awning on the back road behind hotel. sat there for a entire round picking off roof top snipers and alley raiders. at one point i had mowed down 7 straight when i ran into the ally. all dead i had 1 bar of health left. PKM is a mobil soldier mower.

It was my first unlock, and i got the game the day it came out. Used it until they beefed it up, because after that it was a noob gun, and i didnt need to use it
