We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.
While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.
the pkm is for noobs unless ur like tele and used it the whole time.
they nerfed it so much that it can out snipe the L96A1 and the M24
ill only use it when someone whose ****ing me off uses it
also i noob toob when someone is pkm whoring
I got this because I've been playing alot of support and I wanted something with a little more knockdown other than the M249. Never sniped with it nor knew it was any good at sniping.
My best pkm time was in the demo, in one of those servers that had all unlocks...a squad leader was hiding on the hill near the hotel and i was laying near the flag mowing down the squad members that came over the hill :)...got about 10 kills that way before they killed me.
I like it as a distraction piece, too. It's a guaranteed, "HEY, I'M OVER HERE!" gun, with that crumping sound it makes.
Me and a buddy (Pyropirate) were camped out in Dragon Valley, he was AT, I was Support with the PKM. We were stationed at the gazebo on the central hill, using the overwatch to bust tanks Chinese tanks moving north (up, towards our carrier) and to smack down choppers with the AA.
Well, I was keeping him stocked as he SRAW-sniped at the vehicles. There was this one Mobile AA gun, the Chinese one which I don't know the name of. It was searching for him, and being fixed by an engineer. He'd fallen back, and he says, "Hey, Mav, I can't poke out or I'll be blasted. Could you distract him?"
"No prob."
So I crawl about twenty feet away, into the treeline, and then jump up from behind my rock. BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM! The PKM barks, and I see X's, so I know he's hearing the plinks off his armor. Turret whirls around, follows the tracers, and points at me. I give him two more and prone behind the rock.
The shots are flying over me, crackling against the stone, and I hear the FWOOSH of the SRAW. The shooting stops.
Pyro radios in, "Hit 'em, but he's still live! He's lookin' for me."
I jump up again. BOOM BOOM BOOM!
The turret swings back my direction, and I tap off another burst, only to drop prone as the shells fly in. I'm lying in the ditch, listening to the crackle, and the SRAW bellows again.

I scan the ground, and then I notice, above the SRAW kill:

I think I have 15k kills with it.
Its nice for CQC but it is a hard weapon to use for most people I see..especially the folks who try to shoot it standing.
It was nice when it had the god like presicion, it could actually be of use on all maps.

I been tryign to play other classes tho..plus if I plan on entering a vehicle I play as Spec Ops. That way if I have to bail I have a somewhat well rounded class. Plus I got kinda PKM burnt out..
EDIT: ok just checked..Im still hovering same area..#45 in Kills with LMGT and numer 129 Support overall...but I have only 210 hours as support as opposed to 230ish as Spec Ops...gah only 45 as Medic..jezz if I just stayed medic I would have had 300k points by now.
The PKM is just another imbalance found in Battlefield 2.
The Support class is ridiculous. You not only have a weapon that's powerful as hell, but you can move at nearly (if not exactly) the same speed of other infantry. That, frankly, is BS.

Imagine..400ish hours on Karkand..on foot just using the PKM..tell you what tho, all the god guns like the G36 series feel like sniper rifles in my hand now lol.

Just play leviathan with PKM.. dude.. 400 hours with PKM for 14k? I go command with that puppy and just sit there holding it.. hours and hours wasted, and yet I got like 8000 kills with the gun myself..
due to the sound and such the its not alwasy the best idea to take that shot with the pkm. If anything I try to use it when the CQC comes into play..other then that I try to restock my more accuarate members like Medics, snipers assualt etc..sure I dont spendid resupply stats but I dont chuck bags out alot. I usually fire the PKM mostly to lay cover for troops going in or as guarding an area...never try to run and gun into action and destroy stuff..better to lay back and hold ground or wait for an advance.
Oh..checked stats again..you have 167 hours with LMG in hand..I have 168 with LMG in hand..so were close call..on hours..damn I guess 250 of those Karand hours I was doing somehting else..meh thought i pkm whored it up alot. But I do have about 5k more kills with it..so I guess I was doing something in that time =D
I love the long range headshots that occasionally pop up while PKMing.
My usual tactic with the thing is to find a good firing position and lurk. Generally I fire in small, quick bursts since it gives you the best accuracy.
There's nothing like poppin off a couple shots, getting one hit on the indicator, and watching those few pixels off in the distance crumple up like a man's sex drive faced with a naked Rosie O'Donald.
