Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
well it's a start I guess...
Anyway, as far as Im concerned EA has fu*ked us hard with the last couple of patches, adding a new map with the next patch will have about the same effect as using lube next time they decide to bend us over a table, pull our pants down and play pin the tail on the Bf2 player.
It make's everyone feel a little better but their still fu*king us...

Road to Jalalabad? This is a bit strange... Jalalabad is in Afghanistan Between Kabul and Pakistan, which does not fit into the Mec/US scheme. (The MEC maps are in the Gulf Region). Also, using a real town is quite peculiar (correct me if I'm wrong, but as far as I know Mashtuur and Karkand are fictional settlements)
But know this: the Gulf of Oman exist!

Infantry only is a horrible idea. More walking....why on earth would that be a good idea?
It might just be a custom testing-only map that includes all elements of BF2 and SF/EF/AF, so they can test one the one platform instead of testing seperately (like all the choppers, planes, etc). I would not hold my breath for a free map on the next patch...
But there would be a COMPLETELY different points experience between servers playing with and without infantry_only.
Ranked servers have always been about trying to ensure that getting certain points was fairly standardized among servers.
I'm just speculating of course...
The only points differnce would be between the guys on the ground and the guy in the tank. As it is good ground pounders can keep up with tank whores, so I don't see it being any different. And like everyones argument for everything people don't like now, "find another server". Seriously though, how many threads have you seen complaining about camping tanks/apcs destroying the fun of city maps? Yea, I can't count them either.
Guys . . . Notice on the game monitor server vars section EVERY variable which is important to a server has either a "1" or a "0". Notice how bf2_infantryonly has NOTHING, just like "bf2_coop____" is completely blank. Therefore, this may lead one to believe bf2_infantryonly may be a new game type.
What you are all speculating is that one can turn vehicles on or off. This would only be the case if there were a "0," as the variable status. Leaving it blank explains that the variable or setting is null/void in the scenario the server is running, which is conquest.
In any event, whether it's a new game mode, or some other setting, I'm 99% positive it is NOT going to be allowed for ranked servers, just as coop isn't allowed.
