BF2 Community is Terrible

I play the following games online.. Rome: Total War, CoD, CoD:UO, CoD2, Madden '06, and Battlefield 2..

without a doubt.. the idiocy level of the gamers for each respective game is at its highest with BF2..

before I can really get into all the idiots running around every single public server.. the random disconnections I've experienced ever since 1.3 is ridiculous.. and only compounds to the lunacy of the other gamers in BF2..

today I log into BF2 to get some play time in.. after about 15 minutes of playing.. I am randomly disconnected (connection to server lost).. okay.. not that big of a deal.. I join up again.. and game crashes to desktop.. cool

after a reboot.. I get into a server for a while.. and simply cannot believe how many absolutely stupid people there are in this world.. TK'ing for vehicles is a given.. but at least those people have a purpose.. I'm talking about the people with absolutely no sense.. the people who run around with no sense of direction.. sit in a corner of the map, nowhere near a flag.. and cannot comprehend the simple objective of playing a damn video game..

after the retardation chart exploded in that unmentionable server.. I gave another a chance.. and I was pleasantly surprised.. of course besides the idiots who sit in armor right outside of a base (not attempting to cap).. and blast you before you can take two steps..

but anyways I played a few rounds of this and placed first 3-4 times in a row.. ensuing round starts up.. and I'm kicked for "team switching and possible hacking".. this bull after the server rules explicitly state no spawn camping.. and possible hacking after 3-4 rounds of being a Medic on Karkand with a relatively subdued level of idiocy?? congratulations.. and also congrats to all you fools who don't have half a brain and play BF2 and accuse anyone who scores higher than your dumb ass of being a hacker..

What do you think then what the battlefield 2 comminuty stands for now days by all that nerfing for 12 years old. the only good server I know is PTG and some other top rankend servers

it just seems that way, having played online in lots of games since rogue spear, there are always people looking to goof off, and waste your time and theirs. With so many people in each server, if a few bad apples start acting up, it ruins it for alot more people, before when games held 24-32 people, the number was maybe a couple usually. MMOs tend to show this the best, very popular games (WoW, planetside at the time) and with high player counts on the server, make for you running into these people more often.

You best bet is always a admin on whatever kind of server your on. Even though some admins abuse their power, most don't, and generally quell any one acting up quick enough.

Agreed the disconnects and server crashes are ever so frustrating since the last patch...but as for the community, by pubbing you CAN experiance the dreggs of society..the answer is to find a few well admined servers from these forums and play there. Ours is one put =IMO= in your server browser search.

I would absolutely agree with that if I had not run into the most backwards admin..

I've been kicked for sitting in the back of a transport chopper while being a commander.. reason?.. commanding from a vehicle.. yeah fun.. good thing I was piloting..

the possible hacking incident I described in my first post..

and um... not taking a number in the "vehicle wait line" at the start of a round.. I TK'ed no one.. only had my "e" skills working.. but I'm booted..

all the while.. the fun guys who sit in the back of a map with no intention whatsoever to even assist in capping a flag take up slots in the server..

Not to argue with ya man but just find one that is admined to your taste..and if you can't find one that is admined to your taste then fork out the money and admin one yourself to your liking, from what i read you want some rules and not others, we dont want people standing in line for a vehicle if theres someone there go somewhere and fight dont get in line to "E" fight", both are inmature actions, ya we would boot you for your "E" skills cause it's just plain RUDE and not an aspect of TEAMWORK, for sitting in a chooper as commander...well as long as you were commanding no problem...the bottom line of servers like ours are to ensure teamwork and a high level of competition, generally our server and servers like ours have clan mates on both sides and if theres non teamwork a$$hats it makes the game lopsided so we give them the big BOOT.
In conclusion I hope you find a server that makes you happy.

If you dont like the randomness and lack of teamwork in pub servers, join a clan or check out 21cw (www.21stcenturywarfare.com).

If you dont like being spawn camped by tanks at the Hotel flag on Karkand, spawn somewhere else.

This community is gigantic and there are alot of places to go where you can get your fix of gameplay suited to your interests. All it takes is a little bit of effort on your part -- which is actually what PC gaming is all about. If you want it easy, get a console.

The RTW community is very small and the overall age of the players there is usually higher. It's also worth noting that many of them are history buffs.

Likewise, the CoD community is much smaller than this one. If you check out the major fansites, you'll see 500-1000 topics in the general forum. Compare that with the amount of members here, pbf, and many other community forums for BF2.

Long story short, no one is an idiot here but you. I love this community and wouldn't have it any other way.

Find 16-24 man servers. People are almost forced to work together on those types of servers because if they don't...they get capped out.

Lol, yesterday this guy was on a server. He was caught for possesion and selling and was going to court the very next day. He was asking advice...What a complete retard. He didnt even know that selling marijuana is a felony. What a NAL.
