TroyBob you are wrong there is no auto aim. Come back here and say you are just showing your ignorance when infact you are just assuming and have no hard coded proof. You son are the ignorant one.
sorry dad, i'm right.

Maybe that's why I can never take out a jet with cannons
leading the target is still necessary, the auto-aim is very slight and is only useful when chasing a jet that is not turning.
dude there isnt auto aim. Your the only one who belives it. Calling people ignorant because everybody but yourself knows that there is no autoaim is stupid

a lesson in logic:
To say something doesn't exist because it hasn't been proved to exist is a fallacy.

Tell me about it! Those aliens that abducted me the other day sure felt real!!!
On a serious note...please come back when you have hard evidence. In case you haven't figured it out yet, your story will NOT be believed until that proof is provided. To continue defending your position will only make you look more stupid if a coder happens to see this thread and prove you wrong.
troybob your full of it. i fly jets alot of the time and i know there is no auto aim. ruddering will change the direction of the bullets slightly(L to R), otherwise they shoot straight ahead, if your turning then you need to lead as after a certain distance the bullets no longer go straight, but "drop" off.
thats ALL there is to the cannons!
and no fast pc is needed to make a vid, use fraps to record and windows movie maker or winavi vid convertor to make into a wmv file.

um. maybe you didn't read the topic. proving that auto-aim exists isn't the point of this thread.

to your first point, i just got out of an online game and stuck an f35 in my sights and began burst fire. the bullets hit the jet no matter if he was on the left or right side of the inside of the circle. this is becuase the cannon on the jet will actually "move" to fire the bullets at the jet.
Of course this hardly works (or is noticable) in many situations, because the bullets aren't smart enough to lead a target, they only move the barrel of the cannone 2.5 degrees either way.
to your second point, i'll give fraps a try. does movie maker come with XP? also, the effect is hard to notice unless it's recorded from the outside of the jet. from the cockpit it's VERY hard to see. Also, I need someone to help with the video.

movie maker should be in xp, if you aint got it, get it from ms's site.
you know wings take damage in the aircraft and not just the engine ? i think your confusing it.

i see your point, but the impacts were to the fueselage (sp).
the problem with proving the slight auto-aim system is that it's hard to notice from within the cockpit.
the easiest way to prove it would be using battlerecorder and looking at the shots from a third person perspective.
