So the jets have auto aim. Don't tell me they don't, because I can prove they do. This was known even before BF2 hit the shelves.
Question:
Do you think it would be advantagous (sp?) to equip the mobile AA vehicle cannons with the same auto aim system?
Abstract:
I don't think it would off-balance things, as auto-aim only seems to work versus jets and not helicoptors. But in the DC days it was easy to see the tracers in relation to the jet. But in the melee (sp?) of BF2, it's hard to see those thin tracer rounds at range. I'm a hell of a good mobile AA user, but it seems as if it's TOO much work to down an aircraft with guns only.
And to test that I was on kubra after a night at the bars (pubs for you euros). I thought "Hey, lets see how well these mobile AA guns work" and I resisted using missiles no matter how much the enemy pilot made a good target of himself.
Maybe it's a question of power, because the hits I did score didn't seem to phase the plane. But I think the auto-aim would be a great help in keeping the balance going.
Keep in mind though, that auto-aim doesn't work in all situations (as any pilot knows). It's only effective in straight in or out scenarios.
Your Turn:
What do you think? Should the mobile AA guns get the same auto-aim as the jet cannons? (perhaps not the bradley, since that seems pretty potent per shot).
