Helicopter skill is overrated. There are about 4 moves you can do. TV missiles are easy as hell to use except on sharqi where all shots are all close range. Most helicopters get shot down because they were attacking ground units like they are supposed to, instead of hovering way high scouting out the enemy attack chopper. One on one its pretty even if you aren't facing a complete newbie. A lot of it is luck such as not moving into the firers lead and simply getting more altitude.

Concerning planes:
J-10 will eat up the cobra. And with the 2 minute respawn on wake i can make sure once down it never gets back up.

heh i just flew with metallica for like 4 hours LOL and i probably averaged like 90 points per round. he's a good pilot.

yah i also took down like 3 jets or something. or or two were coming at us and then like another 2 were just hovering. i also managed to get banned from a server =) movie coming to a theatre near you...

well i have to agree with guitarist
a good gunner uses voip/ts or vent will notify the pilot about his 6 o clock. i still remember COLONY had to make like 7 passes till he downed us with his guns. The point being a skilled jet pilot will always win that encounter. 1 because they come from awkward angles of attack
ie vulture angle, 11 oclock high always with guns. not missles
cuz any smart helo gunner team will move and dart around with a missle lock. A good helo pilot will Do anything
to alter altitude and angles for enemy targets. :-) ITS NOT EASY FOR JETS to down a smart helo team >>>none of this single switch nonsense... IMHO REMOVE IT FROM THE GAME...

And I thought PlaneWhore had an ego over his head, looks like someone took his place.

TV missile in general isn't too hard to use, I was playing on Gulf unranked and this one personhe was like SGT or something, he sucked in helis, so I took him as gunner and told him when I line him up etc he right clicks then aims then fires then controls, learned pretty fast and said he got much better with the chopper, even managed to score some kills solo piloting.

That just shows though. But the question is does the most skill lie within the pilot or the gunner? I really have to say that the pilot has a huge effect on it. Upon watching one of Chodda's videos the pilot is pretty good, alough they spawn rape the carrier which is probly where Chodda gets most of his kills :). But yeah anyone here can use the TV missile, all it takes is a good pilot and you know what your doing. Aim>Fire>Direct>Boom.

As long as your not up against a hard pilot, shouldn't be too much trouble. Alough on my Chopper time around 90% of that time is spent piloting, and alough my chopper k/d ratio isn't in the 30's, thats mainly because I pilot and pilots don't exactly get 90 kills a round unless they neglect their gunners, but I usually get 10 kills from killing troops or tanks.

That's why it's so much easier to fly solo, you don't have to rely on somebody else and you know exactly what you're going to do next. I suppose talking with your gunner/pilot through VOIP would make it 10 times easier though

you cobra 'know it alls' are forgetting two things
while your doing your cute little barrel rolls, you are not being offensive
ergo - ineffective
and our pilots do NOT USE radar
you are DEAD before you ever know it
trust me = you WIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILLLLLLLLLLLLLLL die EVERY SINGLE TIME vs a good jet pilot
