I could take you out in one, its pretty hard to dodge a verticle dive bomb in a chopper as you cant see them coming and bombs ignore flares

Why does it seem whenever I get in a Helicopter to fly I have a moron as gunner who is blind and cant hit ppl 20 ft in front of us

OR

When I am in the gunner the idiot can't stay in the air for more than 5 seconds without getting shot down or crashing. Or they can't keep the damn thing stable.

God I hate having to rely on 90% idiots in this game in a vehicle, thats why I like the Tanks/Infantry/Planes because I dont have to rely on idiots to help me stay alive.

I love piloting Cobra's in Wake! The J-10's can barely touch me.... the only way I get shot down is if they slow down to a near hover and try to unload everything on me.

In which case they should have made it so they stall.

What i do to take out choppers in planes is to attack from directly above, the flares are largely useless. You have a small window to attack and you have to keep adjusting due to the choppers movement but the missiles have a much higher rate of hitting the chopper.

Or i just do a strafing run on the chopper...a smart pilot will do some snazzy tricks but you in plane + SAM's all over him + Freindly chopper = he's gonna die really soon.

I almost got TV'd doing a slow strafing run on a chopper though. Would've been really embarrasing if i did...

The truth is, if the pilot can use decently the machine gun, he can use it to kill the chopper before he even notices it.

Don't tell you are going to do barrel rolls forever, are you? How are you going to know a plane is going to get you if he is using the Bomb Mode? Or, if you keep evading, how are you going to kill people?

Note that I really SUCK with the plane, but still I find attack choppers the easiest flying targets: transport choppers: too many flares; more resistant; planes are fast and they'll pwn me :P

Exactly... I do some crazy shit in the cobra, and I could bet that no one in this forum would be able to take me out in less than 5 turn-arounds

I can do tricks like rolls or flips in a heli with my joystick but it's hard as hell with mouse... anyone know how to do it?

I could do a decent roll with a mouse, but you need more elevation becuase it doesnt turn so smoothly. Its hard to make it a perfect role. Same with flips.

Well, Im so uber 1337 that I dont need a gunner. I just jump out the heli, open the 'chute and headshot 9 ppl with my M95, then get back in the heli as it falls.

Then when a j-10 decides he wants to mess with me, I jump out and headshot him too, then get back in my heli

here, i side with metallicaguitarist. nope i havent seen every single flyer in the game. however i have flown the ah12 against some of the best flyers (that are known of) in the country and have found them avoidable. i think the main advantage of the AC is unpredictability, especially if your teammates spot and use voip. its hard for a jet to manouevre at low speed, whereas a chopper is so much more agile.

I used to play alot with a heli pilot called trepid_jesse. He is trully amazing. Although he does fly mostly solo.

You cant frontflip in a heli unless you get like 90+ up in the air which is completely pointless. Backflip is somewhat helpfull but mostly pointless because it requires too much elevation to begin with and you loose a lot of it which will get in you pwned in a heli battle
