I have USI although i have not played since 1.3.

The server refresh button is not an issue to me and not needed. If you notice that it is just an update server list button now. After you have updated your server list sort how you like then click once on the server that you want. It will automatically REFRESH the server info. Since it auto refreshes the info why do you need to refresh all the servers info in your browser? If you want to do that then click the update servers button.

How is this a problem, someone please explain this to me? They have actually made it easier, IMO.

This is sad.

First, Strega plays the game he obviously don't like anymore and then he complains that other people are not complaining enough about the game they still obviously like to play. And the worst part is that someones game isn't crashing like Stregas game is!

I waited a week before installing the patch. Downloaded the incremental the day it came out. After reading the horror stories about it, I downloaded the full and installed it.

Other than taking a bit longer to log into my account, and logging into the occasional server, I haven't had any real issues other than lag. Plently of servers out there, I just find another one.

to all those who are still having CTD issues, please uninstall bf2 completely d/l the full 1.3 patch, install BF2 and and mods you have SF, EF etc, then run the 1.3 FULL patch. This eliminated almost all my CTD issues.

When I first ran the incremental patch, I had more CTD's in one night than ever on my system. I then ran the full patch over the existing install and it greatly reduced the number of CTD's. But after uninstalling and freshly applying 1.3 I have all but eliminated the CTD issue.

Please if you have not done so yet, please try this. As far as the other issues about the server browser etc, those are tolerable and things that can be worked around.

Vehicle drops were a mistake by EA, they never should have implemented them, it was a fun idea but bad the way it has been "exploited"

But please try the clean install, it doesn't take that long to do and you can save all your profile information without worry.

Oh and Fan Boi is a pretty silly thing to call people when posting on a BF2 "fan site"

Since the patch I noticed a lot of server crashes and every now and then, the usual bugs, like AT rockets not firing, red bug, not being able to run (and moving slowly), APCs and tanks shooting through walls, the occasional crash to desk, people killing me in one shot by going prone and roll, final score of the round listing wrong info (like I have 1 death, when I know there were 2)… and more that I can't remember right now.
Oh, dropping cars on other vehicles is hilarious! It's better than artillery.
And exploits are the same as always, alive and well, perhaps even more for all I know!
Other than that, I love the patch!!

The true supporters of this game are the clans like ours who have paid $260 US a month from day 1 plus paid for a separate VOIP server plus have BR setup properly and pay for an FTP server to host them, providing all the fruit and goodness this game can provide on a lag free server.

This patch is a kick in the teeth for clans like ours who have spent more than there $50 US for BF2 vanilla.

How many clan servers have you played on? Well you can't be playing 1.3 on anything but clan servers because EA official servers haven't updated to this crappy patch so some clan out there is hosting the server for you paying the big bucks for a ranked server and look at the attitude you have. Some fanboi you are. Put your money where you big mouth is if you like 1.3 so much!

God Damn one of the very few ppl here who knows what they are talking about I just love these public players who dont have a clue, so nice job on keeping it real capt Im gonna have to check ur server out and help support real bf2 players.

are you guys serious? You act like we owe you something. I love people who think they are doing the community a service and its really quite the opposite.

I run a UT2K4 clan and our members donate to run our 20 man UT server. I also pay out of my own pocket for 2 ventrillo servers and a website. We also have a branch for Guild Wars and WOW. We have our 80 members between these 3 games. I have tried several times to get a BF2 branch going with our internal members. I have even ran a public unranked server out of my own pocket for our members. Do to the major overflow of stupid people attracted to this game i was unsuccesful.

Never at anytime did i feel that anyone owed me anything or that i was superior to anyone. Thats what it takes to run a clan and run a public server. It's claimed server owners like yourself that completely ruin this community and any other gaming community. We don't owe you crap. If anything you owe the people who populate your server. Cause without them you would not have your high horse to sit and bark from.
