Ho, and an add on to my last post:

Maybe clan gaming was hurt, because every clan was Squad hopping, but i know for a fact that both BF2C and 21CW wil not be hurt. why? we have always had anti-SH rules, because everyone considered it an exploit. If people who were using an exploit to win are now disappointed because they cant use it anymore, then you need to understand the concept of playing fair.

Yeah, as an advocate of hating this patch, even I'm getting sick of seeing thread after thread of it. Sure, you maybe can sneak a little hate into a post every now and then, but there are just WAY too many threads on this as it is.

I'm bitter at the fact that so many people are saying the patch was "awesome" and they they like the changes. How can they ignore all of the server crashing and client crashing issues??? Who cares about the gameplay changes, that's not my point. Point is people continue to send praises over a broken patch. Period.

I always find it amusing how somebody can be labelled as a fan boy for enjoying a game, but the people who **** and moan are simply 'normal'.

I find it amusing how people cannot seem to understand, that those here complaining, do it because they actually DO LIKE the game. They simply do not like what has been done to it.
This is when you say, "I like the patch it r0x0rs! yay EA!"
Which can only lead someone to think, you do not even own the thing, or you are a liar. You may think, well yes there are some things I dont like about it, but rather than admit that, Ill log in here and tell teh world how much I luv this patch.
C`mon! No one can possibly be that ignorant to think nothing has been affected in terms of stability. Yes I`ve had a full year to enjoy this game, like the many other EA titles before it, that doesn`t mean I will deny having any of the problems that exist with the introduction of this patch to prove a point, or seem like a hero on an internet game forum.

Well, you did quote supposed Fan Bois as saying "1.3 works fine for me". That seems to mean you're offended by people who simply haven't had any technical problems relating solely to 1.3. Such as me. I've had no technical problems relating solely to 1.3. I never had CTD problems. And I like the squad changes. Since squad changes are practically the only thing 1.3 did, I like 1.3.

But hey, I'd be ****ed if I was having problems due to 1.3 too.

The BF2 server browser does suck. (I use Qtracker.) And the lack of a buddy list is another sign of no progress being made with EA server browsers. But those problems aren't related to 1.3, they've been there since the beginning.

well been playing with the 1.3 patch since it came out and have had no problems.

All the servers in my favorites work just fine as well as every other SF, EF and BF2 servers i have played on. Servers crashed often before 1.3, so if it was me, I would be asking the server providers about how maxed their servers are. Alot of providers overload their servers which causes lag, high pings, and frequent server crashes. Maybe 1.3 puts more frame rate strain on servers than previous patches? I don't know for sure just offering possible places to start looking for those with problems.

I have noticed the lack of server info in the startup, but have servers owners edited their con files manually with this info? When i had a private server i noticied that if the server was reset(or crashed) that the info need to readded using BF2CC until i edited the con file. This was prior to 1.3 Not sure if that will work, but using TAB key in game will get you the server info. Works fine and i use it when someone needs an ip to get in the server.

The first day with the 1.3 my server browser acted really strange but since the hotfix i have had zero problems. All my favorites are there and able to find and join any server with no problems. Have not tried to see if the battlerecorded tabs work but i think that is more due to server owners lack of setup and file redirect than 1.3 since it has been a problem since i have started playing BF2.

Never was a squad hopper so the removal had zero effect on me. I almost always play SL and still score the same amount of points. Actually i think i can score more points now because people actually stay in the sqauds now. I used to play on TWL for UT2k4 so i am well aware of the tactics that are used in competitive play. I really don't see how it is such a problem, especially in the comp community. The object of a game is to adapt and overcome. Competitive players live by this rule.

Lastly, the cartillery issue. Not really seen alot of commanders doing this. I guess it could be my server choices. I usually play on servers where teamplay is paramount and asshats are kicked to the curb. Everytime i ask for a ride i have had one dropped almost immediately. Saved me from deaths many, many times.

TrenchDigger, DO you play any mods at all? Just wondering if you noticed any problems there? I assume because you have no problems, you also still have use of your refresh button? Mine seems to have dissapeared since the patch.

really strega, i feel your pain, but coming on the forums with that attitude is asking for arguments/insults.

i love the battlefield series (me might be a fanboy), but i didnt like the patch. :0|

the patch met negative reviews across the board. EA's own site should tell you that. they even admitted to their err the same day as a certain boycott was to take place.

I have USI although i have not played since 1.3.

The server refresh button is not an issue to me and not needed. If you notice that it is just an update server list button now. After you have updated your server list sort how you like then click once on the server that you want. It will automatically REFRESH the server info. Since it auto refreshes the info why do you need to refresh all the servers info in your browser? If you want to do that then click the update servers button.

How is this a problem, someone please explain this to me? They have actually made it easier, IMO.
