So you're telling me there are people that don't have the server browser issues? The CTD's from clicking JOIN or random ingame crashes?

I dont have any server browser issues (since they rolled back at thier end and stopped the false ping displays) and i have NEVER CTD since i first started playing a year ago.

The only thing negativly effecting me is the frequent server crashes that are happening since 1.3 but with the thousands of servers out there its no big deal joining another if it crashes.

The bootom line is that BF2 is still more enjoyable then any other game out currently, even with the bugs thats why i keep playing and if that makes me a "Fan Boi" (OMG at your lame pseudo insults) then so be it, but it makes you a whining baby by your own logic :laugh:

This is my take on 1.3:

-I have no CTD issues. the only time i CTDed was BEFORE patch 1.3.
-I think car drops are not that bad (sure they are being used as cartillery, but thats another problem)
-I have not remarked any browser problems. Its still just as bad as it was in 1942 and Vietnam. not worse, not better, the same.

So, for me, patch 1.3 was good. I understand people hate it because now they crash every two seconds. I would be ****ed too. And I think its a bad patch because other people are crashing. BUT, if you consider only my case, it was an average-to-good patch.

Go ahead and flame me because i dont have a problem with the patch, i have no problem with that. I'll just go on playing this great game.

So I was playing BF2 last night with 3 other guys, we all headed to a new server. I crashed to desktop 6 times that round ALONE.
THERE IS A PROBLEM. PERIOD..

As for whoever sad something about playing for fun and not competitive... join a church league and stay away from me...

You think I spent $1500 on my PC just for Fun... Well maybe a little..
But if it crashed every time I started it up, I would be ****ed... It doesnt because I built it...

The patch installation was very shaky. It was good for some but very bad for others. I agree with you Strega. Just because you dont have problems doesnt mean that everyone does not have them. I actually have not and have never had any of these problems. I run BF2 of two computers (mine and my wife’s) and neither of us have never experienced any of these problems.

I do however appreciate people that are experiencing issues as I had many issues with BF-V and had ppl telling me to "get over it" but I really don’t think the problems are as wide spread as most think. I think the ppl that are having problems complain louder than the ones that aren’t (makes perfect sense doesn’t it)

I am not a fan boy (fan boi). I have had my share of CTD's and quite a few server crashes. It is my belief that DICE could have done a better job with this patch.

HOWEVER

You are complaining. What are you complaining about? You are complaining about people who are not complaining. Do you know how stupid and ignorant that makes you sound? If someone has little problems and likes the changes why would they complain? They are not being fan boys- they are people just like you who bought a game to have fun and guess what, they're having a blast. Maybe the competitive clans are hurt by this patch. Guess what? I don't give a ****. Neither do the vast majority who play the game for fun. Gameplay changes such as squad hopping were put into the game to revert it back to the way which was intended- which of course is fun. Vehicle dropping is another dynamic asset to the game but as of right now I do admit it is being abused. I say they should take it out until there is a solution, but I certainly wouldn't mind seeing it implemented again.

People on this forum take a lot of shots at EA/DICE for one reason or another. In some instances this is deserved. However when you start complaining about other people who have done nothing to you and who you have no right to complain about, you are just lowering youself to a level I shouldn't even be adressing.

I've had CTD's even before 1.3.

The only thing wrong with 1.3 is the more frequent server disconnections. Car drops sounded like a bad thing at first, but i'm actually starting to enjoy it now, since i can get around a map much faster if i'm stuck in the middle of a battlefield.
