    Goodbye Battlefield 2, I'm out

Ever since January I've been trying to quit BF2, but somehow always managed to play every day. There was always something working that EA didn't screw up.

Now, after 1.3, server browser is crap and game crashes to desktop every 2nd time, seriously.

So this is it for me, 500 hours, countless awards etc. Lot's of fun. But no more, now I am recovered from this garbage. And you can thank Day of Defeat: Source for that. I hope you guys will follow me, there are some great games out there that are supported by their developers.

Battlefield 2 + Special Forces + Euro Forces successfully uninstalled.

And also, time to say goodbye to all the BF2 forums, including this one. It's been great.

I hope I'm never going to buy BF2142, but I'll probably end up checking it out anyway.

Thank you all, and see you this winter, 2142.

P.S. I've been clean for a week now, and my day is so much better. No angry thoughts on EA and BF2, no nerves, no anger. Ahhh...

Depending on your playstyle I would be willing to suggest Red Orchestra: Ostfront to you; yet... it might not be your cup of tea.

Yeah, I'm really into RO also. Very fun game.

But before you leave BF2 maybe you should sell your account like this guy:

Virus888 merupakan agen slot deposit qris minimal 10000 rupiah tanpa potongan apapun untuk bermain slot bet kecil 200 perak pada seluruh jenis provider slot gacor pasti gampang menang maxwin tahun ini 2026.

Make some money before you go!

Don't fool yourself thinking Valve is any better. Check this thread: http://forums.steampowered.com/forum...hreadid=441367.
I had the same problem and I was locked out of CS:S for a full week. Atleast I can get into a game of BF2 with a bit of determination because it crashes randomly. Just stick around, 1.31 will be around the corner

Red Orchestra isn't made or produced by Value. It's only sold through steam as an outlet.

Never compare Valve's Steam to BF2. It's superior in every way. I never had a Steam game crash to desktop, and I must have played over 1,000 hours total between CS, CS:S, DoD:S, HL2 and HL2M.

Oops, forgot to quote ghaib. That post wasn't directed at you Paas. I'm pretty sure Red Orchestra has its own list of problems though :)

Hey ghaib didn't you play on our server? CYA m8, doubt I'll see you playing 2142 because I will be going Quake Wars.

                      Best of luck.

I just have to ask why bother coming and making a post and topic about this. I don't mean to sound rude, but 99.9% of people don't give a rats %#$ that you are leaving. There are even some people out there that get upset when people come to forums to announce this. I am not one of those people, I just am giving you fair warning that there probably will be flames a coming.

No, Steam itself is an excellent program. I've honestly never had a problem with it and I've been using it since the beta days. My problem was with the actual game itself. This was the most severe problem I've ever had with CS:S. Valve isn't any better than DICE Canada when it comes to making patches unfortunately. Atleast Steam, CS, and Source give Valve a solid foundation to work on though

I'm telling why I'm leaving and why you should leave.

It's not like I jsut wrote "I'm leaving" perdiod.

                            No, I reasoned

You are probably correct about the flames coming. But if he is genuinly leaving BF2 there is nothing wrong with coming here to say goodbye to a community he has been part of for a long time. Although if he is just here to have a whine about BF2 before going back for another game, then he deserves flames
