It's impossible to fly the helo now-a-days.

I haven't played this game for awhile, but anyways, my friend and I were playing last night and came to the conclusion that it's "impossible" to fly the helo. Everytime we got in the air we got blown the **** up in 100 different directions. It like everytime I play no one ever uses AA to help our team.

I agree, but come to think of it it's almost impossible to do anything in BF2 without getting blown the **** up in 100 different directions. Of course, this little problem gets magnified tenfold by the huge amount of tardsmacks out there. Thanks alot you ****ing idiots.

I mean it would be alot "easier" to fly if our teammates got in the AA and gave us support, but NO!

I use AA as often as I can, so we can have that little edge over the other team in the air.

apeaking of which, the USS essex "the best AA out there" cant hit an nme plane flying past with all 8 missiles. sure, it even manged to hit somefriendlies, but the plane flew away unscratched. btw yes it was a j10

The best maps for a helo is Mashtuur or Sharq. Peninsula. Maps like Wake, Oman, Daqing, have jets, which can easily take down a helicopter if the pilot doesnt manuver too much.

What I find very annoying is that NO ONE hops in the AA when you're ground pounding but when you decide to hop in a jet or chopper EVERYONE AND THEIR MAMA is whoring the damn AA sites.

I find it more enjoyable to fly heli when I have teammates that use the planes in the map

Yea, but I swear the game hates me, though. Everytime I join a server my teammates are worthless in the air, thus making me worthless because I have no support.

...or I'll get in the helo or plane and a teammate will either A.) Kill me B.) Make me kill him or C.) Have us both killed.

The Essex for me is a HUGE target for both my TV-M's and unguided rockets.
Yes, you can take the Phalanx before you enter it's range with the TV-M.

No big deal, I still get a lot of high scores using the A.C. It's not that bad, it's just a little more balanced.

I use my keyboard only and have no problems. Requires some good hand/eye movements, but is very much possible. Practice makes perfect. Perhaps invest in a joystick?
