Ok, i had an issue to begin with which was the verification process taking forever. Defragged my HDD about 6 times in a day and it halved the waiting time. I have had one or 2 crashes since installation, but i've been getting those all year, since i installed Norton IS06. I find that i lag and stutter a bit more when there is higher pings (200+) on servers, but im sure this is exacerbated by the fact that I havent lowered my graphics settings since the patch, and the patch seems to reset all those to default medium.

All in all, i think i've been lucky, the only things i've noticed in the server browser for instance is the removal of the refresh button (which was superfluous due to the update button next to it) and when i connect to a server, the IP is no longer visible, it comes up as (0:), but thats not much of a worry for me, it doesnt hinder my playing.

I do like it, but an effective hotfix to address the concerns so many people are having would be nice, and soon.

the patch is all right, I witnessed a couple of servers crash now and then.
I dont see a real performance hit on the computer...

I have a question, to the people who talk about the server crash and are not server admins/owners.

How do you know that the patch caused the server to crash, who is to say th admin didnt simply turn the server off, or they they were rebooting it or something?

Because there has been numerous server admins posting about their server(s) crashing. Popular servers too.

i did actually mean when the server gives you that horrible "there is a problem with your connection" screen. If anyone has found a way to know that 1.3 causes this, please enlighten me. But yes, i know a lot of server owners are talking about crashes..

I've seen no evidence of any problems at all with the gamearena servers in Australia. One issue that came up on installation in the LAN cafe where I play was that the patching failed silently (ie no overt error but game woudn't work) on some machines where there wasn't enough space on drive C.

Overall, I like it.

THis thread just goes to prove that EA can do what the F**K they like and the general public will allow them to shaft them up the A$$ as much as they want lol. Looks like there eticate of the general public are thick as two short planks is true!!!!

Well im not been shafted mate, I want a game that works and is fun, BF2 1.3 is the complete opposite, Rushed product made constantly worse with additional; patches. How can that be acceptable lol

Yeah i get you. You're saying that since you're having problems with the patch, then everyone must be also. That is where you are absurdly wrong. Not everyone is having problems. You just dont hear those people because they're not in here whining, Oh no, my games running fine, damn you EA.

I do understand that a lot of people are having problems and i sincerely hope it all gets fixed.

I don't mind the new patch, or any patch for that matter. I understand that I am at the mercy of the creators.

Yeah same! I don't know why, but ever since the patch, I can now play on all HIGH again without any problems (had to play on medium for so long after the 1.22 patch). And I like the changes they added to the game. Makes gameplay that much better ^_^.

What this thead proves is that there will also be a bunch of whiny pukes who post endless threads about how their product isn't working up to par. You say you're not being shafted anymore?
