Its not bad for me. Recieving vehicle drops is fun and ive been in a few decent squads over the last couple of days, and its the first time thats happened in a while.
But ive also had a few disconnection problems and my first ever BF2 crash to desktop.
Overall id say its positive and just requires a quick hot fix to iron out the problems.
Well, the new patch didnt cause any performance problems or whatever.
The changes in connections with squads etc. have very much changed gameplay and teamwork. I am not one of them who changes to another squad like changing underpants.....but when me and my m8s are playing together in one squad we do sometimes need to change at least the leader to respawn "IN THE BATTLE" . I do not consider this possibility a bug or something that had to be changed. Everytime I die as a leader now, I must respawn somewhere far away from action.......wanna play a round of 1942? Thank you EA :-(
Just having EA change the way this game plays with every patch has annoyed me enough to make me regret buying BF, SF.
Time to go back to DC, at least with that you can be certain such massive game play changes wont happen....
So many changes to the way BF2 plays leads me to wounder why this wasnt done before the release of the game, what does this say about EA, more than happy to release a unfinished game ?
Well let me know when they have finished BETA testing this on everyone
SO you think the games alright!!!! Obviously you dont pay towards servers that you play on then which is fair enough, While alot are moaning about little things like should/shouldnt vehicle drop be added (i personally think its **** and just ridiculas) and should they have nerfed squad hopping (DEFINATLY NOT, KICK IN THE TEETH TO CLANS THAt fund servers!!!!) the real issue is with the games coding!!!
Since 1.0, they sweetened it up with addons whnich were never asked for and chose to not adress the seruious problems that people wanted fixing. THey changed gameplay constantly towards idiots and people who get skilled have to learn some new ways all over from scratch. Play 1.0, and play 1.3. 1.0 is exciting fast paced ation and most of all FUN!!! Now its slow, laboured and worst of all, loaded with Bugs and glitches which have been made worse by adding new features and not addressing the real issues.
1.3 now has servere coding issues Server and client side which is cause all the CTD's, Server crashes and all the other crap that it chooses to do. Big server companys are about to drop the BF2 Ranked servers and many clans have disbanded the game due to the sheer ignorance of EA/DICE and lack of support. SO the point is this. If you can find a server soon, due to no-one paying for them (64 player is £300 a month!!!), and i dont see the general public coughing up anytime soon, YOu welcomes with servers crashing every hour or 2, or your game crashing every couple of hours, and thats if you can get it work at all.
So mate YES, You are the only person that thinks 1.3 is good, How far have EA got there D**K suved up you A$$???
I must say i like patch 1.3, the vheicle drop is an okay idea, a bit annoying when one is dropped on top of a building on a city map so they can gun the sh1t out of you. But apart from that and the server browser and a couple of CTD's then i have no problem with it. But hey........thats just what i think, at least EA are cutting down on the number of bugs they release with each patch (must've reached their quota allready)
